Quiet for being on busy main Road

Posted Jul 7, 2015
Stayed for one night as a Family. The room was very quiet given the location on a main road. Also could not hear any noise from the other rooms. Our Family room was spacious enough for 3 and very clean. En-suite looked newly done. Breakfast was continental - a good variety and good quality. All in all very happy and would stay here again.

American expectations met!

Posted Jul 6, 2015
Pros: Modern and expected amenities.
Cons: Free parking would be nice.
Location: The location is not visually appealing and there is nothing of any tourist value nearby.
My wife and I spent 10 days in Britain and attempted to lodge at economy locations, which was overall a mistake. Every place we stayed lacked air-conditioning - except this Holiday Inn. The wifi worked great and the shower was unexpectedly easy to operate with decent pressure (few places were so straightforward or comfortable). We stayed at this Holiday Inn to be close to the Birmingham airport for our departure, but there is a Holiday Inn closer to the airport. The Holiday Inn closer to the airport has free parking, while this does not.

Great Hotel, very reasonable!

Posted Jul 5, 2015
We checked in really late and this wasn't an issue. Abraham who was working on reception when we arrived was really nice to my over tired 5 year old. Great service& I would stay again if ever in Birmingham. Room was lovely with everything we needed.

Great hotel and friendly staff.

Posted Jun 21, 2015
Pros: Clean and good facilities.
Cons: Better mattress.
Location: Location chosen as close to NEC.
Very helpful staff. Problem with booking (booking agent messed up so not hotel's fault) but sorted very efficiently.

Great hotel inaccurate location

Posted Jun 11, 2015
Pros: Simplicity of layout of room, everything needed was available.
Cons: Accurate distance description on information displayed
Location: Already covered
The Hotel was clean and comfortable with friendly helpful staff. My request was for a Hotel at Birmingham airport. The Heotel was advertised at being 2 1/2 miles away. The black cab driver said it was more then five miles away and charged £18.50p.

Convenient hotel in Birmingham

Posted May 31, 2015
Pros: modern, clean, breakfast
Cons: if anything, it is too hot in the rooms in the night.
Hotel itself was fine. Rooms were modern and clean, good bathroom. Main issue was the fact that on arrival having planned to eat, with three tired children, we were informed the chef had left no facility to eat in the hotel. It was too late to start hunting outside. We were presented with a few take away menus, and ended up with pizza which was ordered by the hotel, and we paid on arrival. So, at least fed but not what we have envisaged. Had we been informed in advance, and surely they have our email with the booking, we would have found somewhere to eat on our way to hotel. The breakfast is fine, a good continental selection and the room was good. It was £7 for parking which were were not informed about in advance, but it was secure and right next to hotel, so not a big issue, quite reasonable.

Excellent Hotel

Posted May 16, 2015
Booked 4 rooms for 8 of us going to NEC for Take That concert and the hotel was an end to a lovely evening. Rooms were spacious and clean, beds comfy, staff were really polite and helpful but best for me was the shower - a really nice large clean cubicle - no horrible bath to step into with a plastic curtain sticking to you!. Would really recommend to anyone wanting a hotel in that area.

Good for the price

One night, hotel fine for price, nowhere to eat locally though, not in best area for local amenities.
