Horrible location!

The highlight of my stay was the shower, which was excellent but other than that, it was very bellow the Holiday Inn Express standards. I've been to different Holiday Inn Express Hotels and they were fantastic. This one, however, terrible. It is going under some renovation and you see missing parts of baseboards; one elevator wasn't working; the other elevator looks old and it seems like it can break down at any moment; there's no sign explaining they're under renovation; the staff is not all that. They keep themselves inside a small room with TV and are hidden from the public; the housekeeping staff doesn't ask if you need anything (as I previously experienced in other Holiday Inn Express Hotels)... To finalize, I wasn't told my room smelled like fresh paint. No one told me about it. I am allergic to paint that can give me bronchitis. Thankfully, I had brought my medication and inhaler. I didn't ask to change rooms because I was afraid it could be even worse. Very unpleasant experience.

Aging hotel needs some TLC

This hotel is not up to the standards I am used to with Holiday Inn. The toilet in our room was leaking although they did give us a different room. The hotel is a little run down, it needs some painting and updates. I am a loyalty member and they did not give me water when I checked in, most other Holiday Inns do. Not worth the cost.
