“Visiting the NEC with children.”

Staff courteous, hotel clean, swimmimng area, sauna, steam room, gym etc clean. Good opening hours 10pm close for swimming pool. Room didn't have a 'welcome book' to inform of hotel check out times etc.

Hotel is fine, but nothing more. The food was average, the staff nice enough but nothing more, and the room decent. Clean, but could have been more comfortable. What I do dislike is the price of Holiday Inn's "add-ons". Internet isn't complimentary and costs a whopping £15 for the night!! Breakfast is extortionate for what is decent but really v.average fayre (£13.75), but at least parking is free. I would stay here again as it is so convenient for commuting - just off the M6 - but other than that there are better Holiday Inns and of course better hotels, in the same prce range.

“Travelodge quality at holiday inn prices!”

Room fine if a little basic, reception, check in and out great. But discovered that restaurant on a Sat night is carvery only. And not a particularly good one. Having sat in our room and looked through the menu thoughtfully provided, we'd more or less decided what we'd order. Imagine our disappointment to be told it's a carvery on a Saturday and would we kindly join the sad East Berlin style queue down below. Sort of a cross between a 70s holiday camp and a motorway service experience. Staff in the restaurant almost non existent. Had to clear our own plates away before dessert. That encouraged us to pay the extra in the morning and take breakfast in our room. That was superb and worth every penny of the extortionate cost!
