“Very clean, convenient to shopping and restaurants”

Staff was very friendly, hotel was clean We were staying for a few days and were easily able to get a microwave to use in the suite Will definitely stay there again

“One of the Best Hotels in Birmingham”

This hotel is exactly what a business man needs. The desk area accomadates everything, laptop, scanner, portable architectural board. It was separated from the sleeping and dressing area. The only thing off was that the tub area was small..

Area recommendations

The area was great for the work being done. Getting to the Hotel was slightly difficult d/t construction.

This hotel had a large selection of different styles of dining facilities extremely close to the hotel. The mall was only a few blocks from the hotel.

“'very friendly'”

rm 223 - 9/24/11 very clean hotel; nice staff; had problem with my expedia reservation, lucky had print out of confirmation. Room was fantastic, very comfortable bed, good pillows, clean, large screen tv. Hotel near gas staions and restaurants. Slight problem with a/c kept starting up and stopping about every 30 seconds, finally just shut it off. Breakfast included nothing fancy - small donuts, pastry, bagels, english muffins, coffee, milk, juice. For $7 you could get an omelet or fried eggs.

“Nice hotel for family of 5”

Clean, large room with two double beds and sofabed. Sink outside of bathroom, which was a bit awkward. No micowave, but small fridge. Pool nice size. Breakfast was very basic: yogurt, bagles, but NO waffles (big item for kids!) or eggs (available for extra $). Lobby very comfortable, and staff polite. Not a lot we found to do in the neighborhood (we were here to visit UA in Tuscaloosa). Overall, nice hotel for comfortable night's sleep and quick start the next morning.

“Impressed”

Everything is good except there are mold in the bath room and there are extra charges for better food from the breakfast.

“Moldy Bathrooms”

Very disappointed by our stay at the Hyatt Place Birmingham/Hoover. We reserved a room with a King bed. Although we were guaranteed late arrival, our room had been given away. They had a handicap room available but this room's bathroom was disgusting and moldy. We were moved into another room with two double beds. The bathroom was better but there was still evidence of mold on the tile flooring. Further, the air conditioning did not work well and the room felt stuffy. Would never stay in this hotel again and would never recommend it to fellow travelers. Customer Service was terrible.

Area recommendations

Would recommend if you are going to stay in this area - stay at the Ross Bridge Hotel.

“Hyatt Hoover -- Nice”

I was very happy with the Hyatt. The room was comfortable and roomy. It was well laid out for a relaxing stay. I thought the channel selection was a little limited on the TV, but otherwise, I would give everything 5 stars.

Hoover is highly recommended as the nicest area of Birmingham metro.

“Excellent”

The set up at the Hyatt was perfect for my family. Having the kitchen and living room areas for the same price as a regular room at another hotel was awesome. This is where we will now be staying each time we go back to visit family.
