Convenient location for post-game stayPosted Nov 25, 2013
Pros: Convenient location
Cons: Better mattresses, higher quality bed linens, more towels and toiletries
Location: Conveniently located to the highway with easy access
The location of the hotel is convenient to the highway and being connected to the mall is very handy. However, for a Hyatt brand hotel, I was extremely let down in the "comfort-factor" of the room. The room was pretty but the mattresses were hard and uncomfortable (might as well have slept on the floor!), the linens were of a low quality, and the room was stocked with only a bare minimum of toiletries and towels....definitely NOT to the standard I expected. Also, the Expedia site listed a rate for self-parking yet the hotel charged a higher rate.

Great ViewPosted Sep 28, 2013
Overall it was nice but they keys to let you in and out the gate NEVER worked for self parking.

Nice hotel, close to shopping and restaurants.Posted Sep 23, 2013
Pros: I like the location, decor, personnel, and cleanliness.
Cons: The restaurant was somewhat unorganized. The personnel seemed to be overwhelmed when all the guest came at once, but they were very friendly.
Location: There are plenty of restaurants near by in walking distance if you want to walk. I did walk and enjoyed it.
The experience was good. I enjoyed the shopping mall attached to the hotel. The personnel was friendly and helpful.

Expensive and DirtyPosted Sep 19, 2013
Get to the Hotel and the package I paid for was unavailable. They did make some consolations, but still a pain. Get in the room with stains on the floor, refrigerateor still had things in it and was not clean. Bed was hard as a rock and AC barely worked.

Great Staff and HotelPosted Sep 10, 2013
Pros: Clean and Quiet
Cons: Parking garage looked like a construction zone.
Location: Large Galleria mall is attached to hotel.
We were greeted every time we entered the hotel lobby or was passed in hall by staff. Room was very comfortable and QUIET. The attached Galleria Mall was very nice and had Starbucks and fast food in a food court, along with regular and upscale shopping.

Convenient to dining and of course the mall.Posted Sep 9, 2013
Pros: Location, staff, cleanliness
Location: Galleria mall, starbucks, dining and movie theater in vicinity of hotel.
Self parking was a little confusing, but convenient once I figured it out. More signage would help. The workout facility was great, small but updated and with plenty of equipment. I did not use the pool or whirlpool but it looked nice and had a lift for accessibility. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would recommend this hotel for families or couples. I will certainly stay here again.

Father on road trip w/ teenagersPosted Sep 3, 2013
Location: Vulcan statue, Civil Rights sights on 16th street, Sloss Furnacess, Five-points South for eateries and a nice night out.
Had to travel by car to Birmingham from Virginia for Friday-Saturday conference. Turned it into a roadtrip w/ 16 and 12 yr old children. Chose Wynfrey Hotel due to it's connection to 2-level mall and scenic view of Birmingham foothills. The parking deck entered directly into lobby and lobby connected directly into mall...very convenient. Pay extra for room on top two floors! Kids LOVED the views from top floors (windows go from ceiling to floor...awesome views!). Top two floors were only $20 more per night and included access to concierge lounge with served BOTH evening appetizers and wonderful breakfasts (fresh fruit and hot eggs for healthy breakfasts...perfect). Being a four star hotel, of course everything was beautiful and clean as expected. Quick drive into Birmingham city for sightseeing. Sloss Iron Furnaces (now retired) are a MUST see while there with childeren (10 and up). Memories my kids will have forever.

An overnight with college sorority sisters. Could not have ask for a better situation. Location was great, rooms beautiful, and the staff was superb! I would certainly choose Wynfrey again. I planned the event and my friends were so impressed, especially with the service of the staff!!! Way to go Employees!!!
