Good experience

Rooms were clean. Staff was nice. Great workout room. The pool area was under a bit of construction. The pool was clean but the outdoor furniture needed replaced and the landscaping needed some updates. It was easy to use the mall parking for free instead of paid parking. It was only a short walk to the basement elevator that reached the lobby. Overall, a neat "mall" hotel and good experience.

We stay here because the girls love shopping. My girls can't wait each year for this visit. We will return because we love staying here. In fact this year we love eating here, plus, the new addition of bar was great.

Did not honor reservations

Cons: Honor reservations!!
We reserved a room at the Winfrey with two queen beds through Expedia . When we arrived to check in the hotel, the staff explained there were no more rooms with two queen beds as we had reserved. It was explained to us they had a king room. When we explained we needed two beds, we were told there was a chair and ottoman we could use as the second bed. When we told the staff we could not use that as a second bed, she continued to offer a free breakfast or extra blankets for the inconvenience. I was very disappointed in my experience. I will not stay at this hotel again and I will not recommend this establishment to anyone.

Not what it used to be

We haven't stayed at the Winfrey for a few years and looked forward to another pleasant experience. The rooms were ok, but not out of the ordinary. Housekeeping was definitely lacking with hairs left in the sink, counters not wiped, and a dirty residue on drinking glasses from wiping with a soiled cloth. The desk staff were cheerful, but generally unhelpful. Parking was double billed until I reminded them that it was prepaid and a request for a paper receipt was refused, claiming it was impossible to create since the room was booked through Expedia. All in all, the experience was a letdown from the higher level of customer service the Winfrey tries to project.

Pretty hotel but....

The hotel looked like it was recently renovated. The room and hallways were nice. However there was a musty , mildew smell throughout the hallways.

Every staff member we encountered was super friendly and helpful. Our room was beautiful and very comfortable. Access to the mall is a bonus!
