Good hotel with restaurant, Hagley Road

Posted Jul 23, 2014
Pros: Liked the restaurant had an evening meal very good valuable and good service. Free parking and wifi what could be better?
Cons: An extractor fan in the bathroom would be good and a/c in the rooms.
I stayed for 1 night in an inclusive single room. Bed very comfortable, lots of electrical sockets :). 1 sachet coffee and 1 decaf tasted awful Tacibo not good. Really enjoyed the restaurant had a lovely evening meal and the same for breakfast I had both the cooked breakfast with scrambled egg and then asked for an omelette lovely lovely, free parking on site and car park locked so very secure would deffo stay again.

Not a 4 star

Posted Jun 25, 2014
Pros: Although small the room was clean.
Cons: Overall appearance. the reception area is ok, however the lifts were very slow and the general state of the carpets and wall was poor for a 4 star.
Location: There are a number of restaurants within a short walk
I booked two single rooms in this hotel and they were very small. They did have tv, tea and coffee making facilities, iron/trouser press and hairdryer. Overall the hotel is very tired and needs modernising and updating. Not really what I was expecting.

Decent hotel on outskirts of city centre

Posted Jun 16, 2014
Cons: Air con in the rooms. It was 27c outside with absolutely no air flow.
Cheap as chips. You get what you pay for. Decent bar with Skysports. Rest of hotel is dated (Probably looked modern in the 70s) but for a decent hotel for a night out in Birmingham this is perfect.

Central Birmingham Hotel

Posted May 4, 2014
It's what you would want in a hotel comfortable and clean room. The free parking and wifi was another reason we chose this hotel. Central to the city we would recommend it to our family and friends.

Acceptable hotel. Too remote for the price.

Youth on reception was slovenly and casual - mate. Room card said rate was £77 yet Expedia charged us £99+taxes. Cooked breakfast at £16.99 is ludicrously expensive. No fire instructions or escape routes displayed in room. Illegal. Otherwise ok.

Nice hotel.

Pros: Clean and quite, also a nice breakfast.
Cons: Maybe the car park entrance.
Location: It wasn't as near the theatre as I thought it would be, had to get a taxi as I didn't know the area.
The staff were helpful, easy check in very comfortable hotel nice room also quite.

Nice, clean, modern.

Posted Apr 14, 2014
Pros: The hotel was clean, modern, and had every amenity I could ask for.
Location: It's a short bus ride to the city centre, but not as easily accessible by train. The University of Birmingham is about a 20 min walk away.
I was in town for a conference at the university; the hotel was a good, affordable option and was a great choice. It was recently refurbished, with a very clean, modern room. Although the room was small, for one person it was fine, and the en suite bathroom was large, with a full tub/shower. There are a few restaurants within walking distance, but not many shops. However, the city centre is a short bus ride away, and it is a pleasant walk to the university.
