Not a family hotel

Posted Dec 15, 2014
This hotel is desperately in need of renovation in the bedrooms as it does not warrant it's 4 star status. Also to be presented with a sticker that I am asked to sign on check in informing me there will a lot of noise due to a corporate party is not acceptable as I have no other choice but to stay. The language my 7 year old heard as people went back to their rooms was disgusting. I would not choose to stay here again we did mention it as we left and were asked to leave our number unsurprisingly no one has phoned.

Great location for Christmas Market visit. Be prepared for party revellers if you book in weeks before Christmas.

Convenient location

Posted Nov 3, 2014
Pros: Location, surprisingly quiet
Cons: The room was too hot
Location: We used the hotel when we went to the NIA to see Disney on Ice
Good location and liked the family room, the sofa bed pulled out into a twin. If was just really hot in the room.

Decent hotel, in the centre of Birmingham

Posted Nov 1, 2014
Pros: Has parking which is always a plus.
Cons: Price of breakfast is rather expensive.
Location: Central to all the main features in Birmingham, Bull Ring, Cathedral, NIA Birmingham arena etc
Nice hotel, friendly staff. Good amenities. Suited me and my large family, staff were friendly to the kids and the dining area was well laid out.

Didn't get any sleep

Posted Oct 31, 2014
Pros: Location
Cons: Tripple glazing
Location: NIA
We stayed on a Saturday evening as the location was great for the NIA. The room was on the 5th floors which we thought was OK, Room was OK, it was more like a 3 star than 4 however. At night you could hear the street noise from the pubs and clubs so clearly I had to check whether the windows were open. Location is great but don't expect a good nights sleep on a Saturday.

Our stay at Novotel

Posted Oct 19, 2014
Pros: It met all our basic needs. It was in a good location.
Cons: Nil.
Location: Excellent location, right next to Railway station and Shopping centre as will as Birmingham International Convention Centre.
Hotel is in an excellent location. Hotel price was very good. We stayed for 1 night. Very pleasant, modern hotel, it did not have any luxury facilities.

Excellent good value hotel

Posted Oct 17, 2014
Pros: It was great value for money. Our 6th floor room was very quiet for a city location. The staff were friendly and very helpful.
Location: The location was perfect for our visit to The Sealife Centre and canal side restaurants. Also it was only a short walk to the main shopping areas.
We were visiting the NEC but wanted a hotel in the city to enjoy all it had to offer i.e shops, restaurants etc. and was also convenient to New Street train station.

Great central hotel

Posted Oct 6, 2014
Everything was perfect, about the overall stay, staff and the room. The only thing I would mention is there is not enough lighting in the room itself apart from 4 night lamps. Otgerwise, definately staying again when we're back in Birmingham!
