Comfortable, clean, friendly, good location
Water's Edge is a very comfortable hotel. We had a lovely big room with a great view. We arrived very late that evening but nothing was too much trouble with Reception. We received a warm welcome.

Right on the beach and a quick trip from the airport. Bed comfortable and pleasant hotel. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Would recommend for an overnight visit with several restaurants near by.

Interesting location
Clean and tidy but very basic. Bed not that comfy. Overnight noise from the nearby container ships. It was very cheap so not bad for the price but the location is poor. it is probably a seventies hotel that has been done up a bit and if you need a cheap stat then it is an option

This booking should have been cancelled, however I was still charged and didn’t even go to Malta. Was in Athens that night, no contact from hotel prior about me having a booking & upon returning home have been charged for a nights accommodation of $154 which is very disappointing. Upon asking for a refund this hotel declined, so they’ve charged for providing nil service. Look elsewhere for your accommodation in Malta.

The Waters Edge, is a great convenient hotel, 10 mins from the airport. Has great connections with the X busses .. Possibly the most modern hotel in the area.. We have used it a few times.. Friendly & economical

Right below the hotel is an open air bingo with loud microphone number calling. It goes on till 11pm. The AC was barely working in my room. As for the receptionist, she was awesome.....she was more than helpful.

Lovely stay at the Waters Edge
We really enjoyed our stay. Our room was really nice - clean and had a balcony and sea view. The hotel staff were all friendly and helpful (front desk, housekeeping and breakfast). Continental breakfast was good. Although the hotel looks out toward the container port we found this to be interesting and there was never any noise that disturbed us. The bingo in front of the hotel was entertaining. The beach right next to the hotel was perfect and sun beds and parasols could be rented there. We will definitely return.

The hotel looks new and is very clean. Staff is very friendly. It's located in a nice spot front beach. Groceries stores are available all around the hotel but not late night saturday and sunday. Restaurants also widely available. Only pitfall, the breakfast is not tasty at all. The beach is very nice compared to most malta beaches but be aware that a huge shipment port is right in front of it. The town is very small and not so touristy. It is rather full of old maltese.

Clean relatively new hotel
Hotel itself was quite nice, room clean and every day we got new towels thumbs up! What is not that appealing is hotel service, breakfast and location. Location is like small village you don’t have many options to get a meal, just few restaurants and fast food. Beach is nice, bigger than most of the others at Malta but overcrowded, noisy all the time. Another funny and annoying thing is that right under balconies they play some game every night so you hear numbers calling for few hours. Breakfast really poor - eggs, hams, toast, croissants and cereal every day the same, no warm options. Check out was impossible to be later (+3 hours) although we were willing to pay additional charges…so waited at airport for 6 hours…

I spent two nights, comfortable and clean rooms, breakfast is okay considering the price . Beautiful sea view from balcony. Location is very convenient as you can take the bus to wherever you want, bus stop if few meters away from the hotel. There is a playground near by which is a bonus if you have kids, restaurant is also good and good prices.very friendly staff, will definitely book it again if i visit malta.

Value for money
It’s a relatively new block. It’s modern and clean. Aircon could be better but just about does the trick. Fierce powerful shower. This place is right on the beach. Nearly all rooms have a sea view. Centre and left is the beach. To the right is rock and a container port. This would put a lot of people off but I thought it was quite interesting to watch. I’ve been all over Malta and I’d say this town is probably the cheapest in Malta. Hence why lots of the people there were locals. All in all it’s value for money. My only niggles were. No kettle, no maiden to dry your clothes and parking was a pain. I wouldn’t let this put you off though. The coffee in the hotel bar is better than any Costa or Starbucks and it’s less than half the price. Last thing (for management if they read these. Take the room number off the key cards. If you lost it anybody would know where to go straight away while you’re sitting on the beach) I’ve never known a hotel with a keycard system to print the room number on it.

Ideally situated, lovely rooms, continental breakfast available, hotel staff are lovely and friendly had a good laugh with Miriam lovely lady!! Feel the ground floor restaurant staff could be a lot more efficient with speed of service, witnessed customers complaining about the time scale of waiting to be served and waiting for food to arrive, come on staff don’t let the standards slip. Overall perfect place to stay.

Handy for airport
Booked this hotel for our final 2 days in Malta after a week in Gozo. Bus to the airport leaves from just outside the door so very convenient. Nice clean friendly hotel which would surely be rated 3 star if it provided a kettle in the rooms. Our room on the fifth floor was very spacious with a lovely corner balcony and excellent views.
