OK for overnight

Posted Feb 11, 2015
Pros: close to restaurants
Cons: The room needed a few items repaired
Location: Bishop is apparently a good hiking and cross country skiing area
A fairly basic hotel. OK for the price. The included breakfast had no hot items

We were staying overnight on our way to Mammoth and got in really late, but the woman who checked us in was very friendly; we couldn't help but smile, even after the long drive!

Great central Bishop location

Posted Feb 2, 2015
Pros: Good price, clean room, good location- most places in town are a short walk away. Grocery store is right around the corner.
Cons: TV was a bit dated, but we're all spoiled now.
Location: Get out and explore- Bishop is a beautiful area any time of the year!
Stayed here for a January weekend to explore the Owens River. Our normal hotel was booked, so we tried the Vagabond. I'll definitely come back. Nice, clean room; nice bathroom. I didn't use the continental breakfast (there are too many other breakfast places in town), but the popcorn machine in the lobby was a nice treat.

Disgusting!

Posted Feb 2, 2015
Cons: quality of everything, change the 3 day linens change policy, change all the air conditioners in room, clean better, improve the breakfast!
Location: I did appreciate having a grocery store walking distance, good restaurants as well that are kid friendly!
I was very upset with the overall cleanliness of the hotel! The sheets apparently are ONLY changed every 3 days which is disgusting if yo ask me. We had a stain on the sheets and the staff didn't change the sheet because it wasn't 3 days. Not to mention the hotel experienced a fire last year so when the air conditioner/heater came on it blew in a smell of fire smoke. Luckily there was a store near by where I was able to purchase bleach and antibacterial wipes to clean everything. I was traveling with children which made things even more stressful due to the horrific smell and cleanliness. The bath tub didn't appear to be clean upon our arrival and the place apparently was remodeled however if you ask me it looked like everything just a received a really poor face job. The continental breakfast included was a joke! the cereal was stale and they only offered 1 type of toast...I mean really?! NEVER AGAIN!

Family Vacation

Posted Jan 4, 2015
We reserved a pet friendly room with a king size bed. Bit when we checked in the only pet friendly room they had was two full size beds. The first morning their was no hot water in the sink, but there was cold water. That might the hot water worked but no cold water. We think that because the temperature was so cold that the pipe may have been freezing. The staff was very nice and the room was clean. When they remodel we would go back again.

mixed stay

Posted Dec 1, 2014
On the plus side it had a really big bed that was comfortable. On the negative side:the room smelled of cleaning solution but the real problem was no heat. The room was cool but ok when I went to bed but at 5AM I woke up freezing . I tied to get the heat to work and would come on for 5 minutes and then shut off. It was either defective or so complicated that a college graduate couldnt figure out how to operate it. It had a timer ob it (weird). After spending half an hour trying to get it to stay on I gave in and got up. It was near freezing out side so the room was pretty chilly. The TV was OK but a CRT with a low fidelity picture

Great Value

Posted Nov 22, 2014 on Hotels.com
We stopped in for one night on our way to Tahoe. Beds were comfy, clean room and bathroom. The roll away we asked for was in the room and check in was really fast (we arrived at 11:30pm). Overall it was a great value! We would stay again for sure.

Noisy hotel, good location

Posted Nov 10, 2014
The hotel room was fine inside, the bed was comfortable. However, because all of the rooms are exterior and the doors face onto an outdoor balcony which is not smooth, you hear EVERY bad being dragged across as if it's a shopping cart on gravel - starting around 5am. The cleaners are up early too, and those carts make a huge racket. That combined with the noise of people talking in the parking lot, and cars starting up and leaving... without earplugs sleep was not possible past 5am. Maybe they can at least put some outdoor carpeting on the balcony to dampen some of the noise. I wouldn't stay here again.

it's a dry place to sleep

Posted Nov 10, 2014
Pros: They do seem to accomidate fishermen well, there is a fish cleaning station and fish freezing there on site and the staff are friendly and helpfull
Cons: Replace the old carpet, update the rooms
Location: fishing, hiking
This is kind of a cookie-cutter hotel room. A place to sleep and that's it. Carpet was sticky in places and all the decor was pretty dated. If your there just to fish and sleep then its not bad. They are accommodating there and the staff was friendly and helpful.
