Fun water park for young children

Posted Oct 8, 2014
We got a room in the newer part of the Hotel so the room was nice. Did not have any extra bedding for the sofa bed, but we called the front desk and they brought some within a few minutes. The staff was kind and friendly. The continental breakfast was good with a few hot dishes, which is always nice. Standard hotel. Not totally what we expect from best western but still good hotel. My children had a blast in the water park.

Great waterpark, few quirks

Posted Sep 30, 2013
Pros: WATERPARK
Cons: wifi in room
There was no wifi in the rooms, which was a bit annoying. Waterpark was a blast, however there was a wedding and so I had to walk past all these dressed up people in my swimming suit and there were no clean pool towels had to use room towels and then next morning there were no clean/extra towels at all.

Pros: Nothing
Cons: everything

Very dirty. TV did not work. They moved us once. The people at the desk were nice enough, but condition of rooms not good!

Wrong reservation/Overrated water-park

Posted Aug 12, 2013
Pros: Comfortable beds and it is connected to a good resturant which is Montana Mikes
Cons: Ventilation in water-park
They sent us a email confirmation saying we had a single king bed room but gave us a room with double queen beds. When asked if they could switch rooms they said they were full and they could not explain the mix up. They did not offer any compromise or solution. We were disappointed when we saw the water park in person as it is advertised to be much nicer. It offers limited sitting places for parents and non swimmers. The water park area offers no ventilation and is extremely hot and humid. However, the smaller children really liked the water slide.

OK Hotel with a Waterpark

Posted Jul 11, 2013
Pros: Convenient, clean and plenty of parking.
Cons: Their pathetic Wi-Fi.
Location: It is on the NW corner of Mandan, just off the Interstate and easy to get to. We were there to visit our daughter and to watch the July 4th parade.Si
The hotel was just off the Interstate on the NW corner of Mandan, ND. Easy to get to and plentiful parking, fairly close to downtown Mandan. The room was great, clean, with a king size bed and remote control A/C. The hotel staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The watermark was a little disappointing, it had one high waterside that went outside the building and then back inside. Also one small waterside at the edge of the pool and all inside. Our biggest disappointment and would keep us from going back there again, was the Wi-Fi was had pathetic signal strength. Had to go out of the room and sometimes closer to the lobby in order to connect up the laptop and our iPads. Once connected, they maybe would stay connected and maybe not.Con

Plus have asked for a better place to stay on the way from Yellowstone to MN. Was a nice break from our camper. Thought the water park was bigger but it worked out perfect for our kids who are 3 and 6.

Nice pool, but that's about it....

Posted Apr 22, 2013
Pros: My kids enjoyed the pool even though they had to drip dry
Cons: Not clean and bring your own towel to the pool
My children loved the water park. That is the only positive thing I can say about our stay. Wasn't worth the $200 though. In the first 5 minutes of arriving in our room, my son went pee and flushed the toilet, the last person had plugged it with their #2 and we had to wait 20 minutes for maintenance to get there with a plunger. The lamp on the desk had a burnt out light bulb and the phone wasn't he hooked up, we had to hook it up so we could call maintenance. Housekeeping didn't do very good job cleaning. There was a chicken nugget right by the night stand and in the closet from the last people. Talk about gross, and the carpet in the seperate bedroom was dirty and there wasn't even a remote for the tv in that room. We had no Do Not Disturb sign and told the front desk, but never received one. We went to the pool and there were no towels for my kids to dry off at 10pm. The towel hamper was full and their were dirty towels laying around everywhere. We went back to the pool in the morning at 9:30 am and were lucky to get the last 4 towels this time. The bed was super hard and the 4 short pillows were annoying. The fridge and microwave were the only positive thing about the hotel room.

not worth it

Posted Jan 1, 2013
The room was freezing and we had the heat all of the way up and it never got above 65. The window may as well have been out because the cold air was streaming through it.
