Amazing views, steps down to the beach!Posted Oct 11, 2013
Pros: Location, food, bar, tour recommendations, AC & TV channels are provided
Cons: There was just one breakfast where we paid the bill in cash and were going to leave her a larger tip after receiving change & she never brought it bac
Location: AWESOME! Walked to dinners including the Fish Pot & market one way, walked the other way to Fort Bennett where we witnessed beautiful sunsets and peop
Great time, front desk recommended a great tour guide which we actually took a few days with to go snorkeling, jeep safari, etc.. His name is Ellis and was very informative and made us feel comfortable, checked in on us when he took us into town the first night. Loved Buccaneer's Bar at the hotel on the sand, best grilled fish plate!

not well run hotelPosted Oct 10, 2013
Pros: sea view form the room
Location: notjhing much to do - no taxis or courtesy bus
IT was too far away from the main town, the rooms were not ready when we came and not very clean The staff are lazy and have a "cant be bothered" look about them - the food is very pricey and overated and generally it is a" going down hill fast hotel" - it has lost its spirit

Barely hanging on to its statusPosted Sep 30, 2013
Pros: The staff! You could tell that they knew the place was not up to par and therefore made the effort to be extra sweet, almost apologetically so.
Cons: Management needs to spruce up the establishment. Rusting, chipped paint, blown out light bulbs, mystery stains, old appliances...
Location: We had a car and it was fairly near to everything important. There are some great beaches nearby! Not many options restaurant-wise, though.
The place seems as if no one has truly cared for it in at least a decade or two. Although the staff were super and took care of everything with friendly efficiency, there was a general air of neglect that no amount of cheer could erase. The classy "beach resort" title doesn't quite prepare you for what is really a simple establishment in need of some TLC. Almost everything is outdated and not even in a charming, rustic manner. It simply looks as if management built the place decades ago and never looked back. Still, the grounds were well-maintained and clean. The staff really worked hard to keep up the spirits of the handful of forlorn-looking guests present... On the other hand, the live night entertainment was a surprising treat!!

Not worth the cost of room.Posted Sep 1, 2013
Pros: Proximity to a very nice beach. Quiet surroundings.
Location: Good location. and golf course within 5 mins drive.
Checkin time 3:00pm. Didn't get room until 3:45pm. We paid for an ocean view, and after having been given our room key we were asked by one of the checkin staff to return the same. We were given another key and proceed to our room 1 hour after the checkin time. On arrival at our room we realized that they gave us a garden view. We refused to accept this and returned to the front desk. After complaining about having booked and paid for an ocean view we were given our original room. The checkin staff explained to us that the person who changed our rooms was not authorized to do so. After 7 hrs in the room the a/c stopped cooling. This was rectified the following morning. Beach chairs not available until beach bar opens at 11:00am. Booked 2 adults and 2 kids and were unable to get 4 beach towels when asked nearly every day. Rowdy group of young men using obscence language while swimming in pool with my kids present. Staff did nothing about this behaviour. Pool water looked very cloudy.

In need of a serious upgrade!Posted Aug 21, 2013
Pros: The Bed
Cons: Train your staff in customer service! Up grade your hotel and get with the times!
Location: Beaches near by and limited water sports.
This was my first visit back to my home country in ten years. I decided to hop over to Tobago for an overnight stay, I decided to stay at The Grafton, I was very disappointed in the condition of the hotel, it is not being maintained properly, the stairwells were not lit , pool toilets were very dirty and clogged. The Front Desk staff not very pleasant! No WIFI !! In this day and age??? A complete disappointment I will not recommend staying at this hotel to any of my friends and Family.

Grafton: a Diamond in the RoughPosted Aug 12, 2013
Pros: Our stay was comfortable , the grounds, spacious and well kept . It is yards away from Stonehaven beach which is gorgeous.
Cons: I recommend however that some of the staff at the reception desk be switched out for the others who were more warm and welcoming.
Location: This hotel is close to a kayaking and snorkeling facility as well the Fish Pot ,Pleasant Prospect café and the Bar Hop Inn. I
Just returned from a blissful and totally relaxing stay at Grafton, Blackrock Tobago. We pulled in the seine with the local fishermen which was awesome, went jogging on the beach and splashed in its crystal waters. At night we visited a nearby hub with restaurants and tiny bars. By day there was a vendor selling fresh fruit and coconut water.
