“Avoid!”

This is a old motel that Super 8 took over at some point. They have done nothing to update or remodel at all. Subpar rooms. I did read other reviews dated in Aug. 2011 and some people discovered bedbugs etc. I don't need super fancy but it does need to be cared for and this location is horrible. I didn't either bother to attend the cont. breakfast as I didn't see the point. I had a smokers room which is all they had left. I was attending a Va Tech football game and the location worked for us. We stayed only one night.

“Not Impressed, would never go back”

The room was very old and dirty the motel looked like it was built back in the 1950's and had not been updated since that time. My family was actually scare to stay in the room.

“Dog allowed for $10 a night”

Even though didn't bring our dog. I would have if I had known about the little extra to have her with us. Staff was very nice and helpful.

“It was a bed.”

The bed was comfortable the staff were friendly and helpful with directions. There was no iron in the room and i was traveling to a dress up event. I had t o move some furniture around because several of the lamps in the room did not work and I needed good lighting to do my artwork. I couldn't walk outside directly to my car; there's a railing enclosing the front walkway, and you have to walk almost down to the office to get out into the parking lot. Kind of a hassle when you are toting luggage. I didn't bother with the continental breakfast, It was very sparse. So, if you are just looking for a quick overnight bed, the place is sufficient. But so many nonworking and omitted things (not NEARLY enough towels for 2 people) just make it irritating.

“Blacksburg trip January 2011”

Fine for the price, but wouldn't stay in the winter again, since only accessible from outside (15 degrees one night during stay). Did not have ironing board or iron. Carpet probably had not been cleaned in some time. Motel is very convenient to interstate highway and close to our intended destination of Blacksburg, VA.

“Moderately priced hotel that is a good value for the money”

This Super 8 Hotel is not at all fancy or luxurious, but it was clean, quiet, and comfortable. The decor could use a little sprucing up, but it is a moderately priced hotel that is a good value for the money.

“Easy and good enough”

This hotel had cheap rates compared to other hotels in the area. We stayed one night for a Virginia Tech game. We arrived late Saturday night, our room was ready and the staff was very friendly. The breakfast was decent. Parking available right in front of room. The bathroom had neat little heating fans which was nice for showering. No, its not the nicest or most comfortable hotel (you get what you pay for). We just needed a place to sleep and shower. If you are going to complain, pay more and stay somewhere else next time.

“"OK" Stay”

I registered for a non-smoking room and was given a smoking room. The manager said that I should have called personally to confirm that. The light/fan in the bathroom made so much noise when it was turned on and that was annoying. Other than that our stay was OK.
