“Dog allowed for $10 a night”

Even though didn't bring our dog. I would have if I had known about the little extra to have her with us. Staff was very nice and helpful.

“Easy and good enough”

This hotel had cheap rates compared to other hotels in the area. We stayed one night for a Virginia Tech game. We arrived late Saturday night, our room was ready and the staff was very friendly. The breakfast was decent. Parking available right in front of room. The bathroom had neat little heating fans which was nice for showering. No, its not the nicest or most comfortable hotel (you get what you pay for). We just needed a place to sleep and shower. If you are going to complain, pay more and stay somewhere else next time.

Close to interstate, and dining. TV was huge and has HBOs.

Hotel was clean, comfortable, and staff was friendly and helpful. Not a "world class" type of place, but it certainly met my needs. I would stay there again

Very nice. The hotel is dated, but the room was comfortable, and the people were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was somewhat skimpy compared to other hotels we've stayed, but all in all we'll stay here again when we are in Christiansburg.

“Good for Short Visit”

This is actually a cute and cozy one-level facility. Was quiet. Only problem was a very soiled pillow case on an even more soiled pillow. Pillows were mush, but it was ok since I always travel with my own pillow. Continental breakfast was nice and hit the spot.

“Clean and convenient”

The Christiansburg, VA, Super 8 motel is one of the less expensive motels in the area, just off I-81, near a Denny's, a Cracker Barrel, a McDonald's and service stations. It is clean but not super. The owners and staff are friendly, but they don't have maps of the area. The parking area is large, and often there are both 18-wheelers and box trucks overnight, but there is little noise. All rooms are on the ground floor with external corridor access to the parking lot, but the corridor has a low wall, so you can't just step out to your vehicle--you have to walk two or three rooms along and exit by an opening; on the other hand, the low wall makes the place quite attractive. I do wish somebody would buy, repair and open the closed restaurant on the property--it's a bit of an eyesore, and it could be so convenient.
