Very relaxing stay

My husband and I had a lovely relaxing stay at The Glenisla. The rooms were very clean. The staff were friendly and the food was excellent. Will certainly return in the future.

Wish I'd stayed closer to Pitlochry!

Hotel is perfect for a remote hill walking or cycling break. Very cosy with a big open fire in the bar. Didn't sample the food. Owners very welcoming and accommodating. Free Wi-Fi is available. Kirkton of Glenisla is less than a hamlet and has no local amenities. It was the closest I could get to Pitlochry where I was participating in the 2012 Caledionia Etape Cycling event and it takes a good 40/45mins to drive from the hotel to Pitlochry so I had to get up much earlier than planned.

Pure sanctuary-take me back please

This small inexpensive hotel represents excellent value for money. Placed within the most scenic Countryside I have ever experienced it offered my husband and I an ideal base for our walking and raptor experience holiday. Staff and owners Shelly and warwick were both friendly and welcoming. The service was second to none and the home cooked food superb. We will be returning, no dought about it and the sooner the better. Only negative I can think off is that the only t.v is in the communal lounge but "is this a negative?" I don't on holiday to watch mind numbing game shows or the negative news that broadcast to us daily. In fact thinking about it now maybe the lack of t.v contributed to my mind feeling completely free of anxiety during my stay. My advice to anyone in need of a de-stresser experience - go and stay at the glenisla hotel for a few days, do some hill walking which you can access five mins down the road and come back home feeling a new person.
