• By car From the north (Hamburg, Rostock, Berlin): A24 to Berlin, then on A2 towards Hannover until Magdeburg. Take A14 towards Halle/Leipzig - after a few kilometres take exit B81 towards Halberstadt - the B81 takes you directly to Blankenburg. From the south (Hamburg, Rostock, Berlin): A5 towards the French border, Heidelberg and Frankfurt until AK Kirchheim and then on the A7 (Lindau, Ulm) until the exit Rhüden in the direction of Goslar - there take B6n until the Blankenburg exit. From the west, south (Munich, Cologne, Dusseldorf, Dortmund, Hannover): Highway A46 (Dusseldorf) or A1 (Cologne) in Dortmund to A44 to Kassel, then further on A7 as described above. From the east (Leipzig, Dresden, HAlle): A14 to the Bernburg exit, then further to Aschersleben and then take the B6n directly to Blankenburg. By train From the north (Hamburg, Berlin): from IC/EC/ICE station Magdeburg, you can get to the Halberstadt train station in about 40 minutes with the regional express train. See more below... From the west, south (Munich, Cologne, Düsseldorf, Dortmund, Hannover): Ride to the IC/EC/ICE train station Hannover. From here you will have a direct connection to Wernigerode/Halberstadt. In Wernigerode, you can have a direct bus connection to Blankenburg or you can ride to Halberstadt and then take another train, see below... From the east, south (Leipzig, Dresden, Erfurt, Halle): from Halle (Saale) you will have a direct connection with the regional express to Halberstadt (travel time 50 minutes)... ... from Halberstadt you can ride about 20 minutes with the regional train to Blankenburg. From the Blankenburger train station to the Voigtländer estate it is about a 5 minute walk.
