nice hotel.

Pros: they did have a good breakfast
Cons: customer service
Location: it is near Indiana university
the room was booked for 5 guests(3 adults, 2 kids). but only had 1 king bed and 1 sofa sleeper which only sleeps 4. no roll aways were available. they offered to move me to a room with 2 queens and a sofa sleeper, but only at an $80 upcharge per night. luckily 1 person in our group did not go because it would have costed me an additional $160. and they told me it was expedia's fault. when the room was booked it clearly said 5 guests. overall the situation with the room not sleeping 5 was very disappointing.

Cons: Price seemed a bit high for Bloomington, IN.
Nice clean room. Loved the bedroom separate from the "living room/kitchen" with a door in between!

Subpar experience would not repeat stay

Posted Apr 30, 2015
Staff was very friendly and accomodating. Overall upkeep of the room was fine and we liked having a full kitchen. Bed was comfy but the sheets were too small for the bed. There were no comfortable chairs to sit on in the room. Maid service was marginal since the bed was not made all the way each day nor were the sheets changed. There was no effort made to ask if we wanted them changed or not such as a request card to put on the bed. Couch was small and hard as a board. TV positioning was awkward. Breakfast food was not very good and not replenished frequently enough so there were no pastries or fruit a couple of mornings. Saw some people rake through the food and take large amounts of fruit, bread, muffins, peanut butter with them when they left after eating. Did not try the dinner food since the hot breakfast food was inedible.

Friendly staff is a plus!

My only concern was that my king bed studio was much smaller than I antipicated. The pullout couch was comfortable to sleep on, though it was an outdated style. I also didn't care for the bathroom setup: external sink with a shower and toilet behind a door. However, the kitchen was exceptional. All appliances were full size, and dishes and cookware were provided. The hotel staff was very friendly, and the hot breakfast was impressive! If I were back in town, I'd likely stay here again, as the kitchen sold me (along with that fact that the hotel has an indoor pool and jacuzzi).

Nice hotel with friendly staff

Pros: The room was very nice and clean. Pool was open til 11:00pm which was nice.
Cons: The hot tub water was pretty gross, probably due to the crowd that we had just seen exit it. Also the jets were broken so it was just hot water.
We were staying for just one night, needing a nice yet average priced place to stay. Homewood Suites was very nice, if not more than what we needed. The staff was very friendly. We went to the pool, late and shortly before pool hours were closing. The pool towels were all gone so we used towels from our room. When we asked for more towels, they provided them quickly and apologized that the pool ones were gone.

Everything was great! Staff was excellent. The breakfast was the only concern. The tables snd food are needs more attention during breakfast. Some families were very dirty. Spilling food, syrup on the table.....it was. It cleaned when they finished.
