'Price was the only redeeming value.
A "No Smoking" room in a facility where smoking is otherwise allowed on the premises, is the equivalent of having a "peeing section in a swimming pool"! The room was clean enough, but far from airtight. The result: cigarette/tobacco fumes were wafting into the room. When I left in the morning, 'had to hold my breath until I was outside of the building and kept my intended, clean shirt for the day in my bag, to change into at my car.
This is how an allergy can affect someone!
Also, upon my arrival, 'had two requests at the desk. First, 'wanted to confirm the location of the Holiday Inn, which was (as I had thought) immediately across the street and just up the block. The young man at the desk expressed an ignorance of such a location and sent me several miles to the northeast part of town - "near the Walmart"? As a result, I was more than twenty minutes late for the social function that I came to town for.
Secondly, 'had asked for a wake-up call at 6:30AM and was given every assurance that it was not a problem.
Yet, it never happened! (Fortunately, I am ordinarily an early riser and the 'alarm' wasn't needed.)
