We had a two night stay after our wedding. The staff were fantastic, the room probably the best we've stayed in and the location within walking distance of theatres and restaurant was ideal. Highly recommended.

"Great location, and a beautiful room, great price"
The staff were helpful and friendly. The room was beautiful even though it was in the basement. A bit noisy in the morning, I presume it was the lobby that we were under. A kettle would have been nice since we had to leave before we could get a coffee in the restaurant.

This was probably the best hotel experience I've ever had. Beautiful lobby and rooms, clean and well-appointed. Staff was extremely well trained, helpful and professional. We stayed for 5 days and didn't get tired of it at all, which is unusual for us. I've decided this is the hotel I'll make my own on my next trip to London.

This hotel is in a superb location, with short -- and interesting -- walking distances to the Underground, the British Museum, the British Library, Tottenham Court Road, Oxford Street. The hotel is tucked away on a short L-shaped street. Intriguing cafes and restaurants practically surround the hotel, and some offer discounts to Rathbone Hotel guests. I stayed for 2 weeks. I did not opt for the hotel restaurant for any meals -- I thought the price for the breakfast was far too high -- and so I can't comment on the restaurant's meals & service. The hotel staff are welcoming, professional, and extremely helpful. In the early morning, when I arrived after a trans-Atlantic flight, my room wasn't yet ready -- which was to be expected -- but the staff saw how exhausted I was, invited me to sit down in the lounge, and brought me a lovely cafe au lait. After I had been at the hotel for a week, my husband was able to arrange time away form work and flew to London to join me at the Rathbone Hotel for the second week. The hotel staff were extremely gracious in managing this last-minute change in our accommodation needs. I would return in a heart-beat.

The fashionable residential district of Bloomsbury in central London, dotted with hushed Georgian garden squares, has drawn famous writers and philosophers through the centuries. Virginia Woolf and the Bloomsbury Set redefined the 20th-century novel here, and being the seat of the British Library and the British Museum, it was also where Charles Darwin formulated his historic theory of evolution.
