"Great hotel in nice part of London. Next to the U."
Everything was "spot on". Large recently renovated rooms, great hopping bar, decor very impressive. Did not try restaurant or exercise area.

"Stunning hotel in Bloomsbury"
This hotel is located at Russell Square, with the lovely and quiet gardens opposite the hotel. The entrance and lobby of the hotel are stunning. I could easily see this hotel as a popular wedding venue. One of the advantages of the location of the Hotel Russell is that it's literally round the corner from the underground stop of Russell Square in the Piccadilly line. This isn't just good in order to move around the city, but direct connection with Heathrow airport. So in just about 1h from door to door. This was a great plus for us. The staff were excellent and also advised us about pre-booking our breakfast for £12 rather than £19.50 in the morning. We didn't feel forced to take this, since we had time until midnight to let them know. About our room, we stayed at a Standard Double and it was clean and suitably decorated. In proportion, the bathroom was bigger than the room! I would have expected it to be more spacious, but we were only staying for one night so we weren't too bothered about that. The restaurant was also stunning. Breakfast fast varied and of good quality. If we were to stay in the area again, we would probably stay here again.

"Good hotel between Euston and Covent Garden."
Stayed one night at the Grange Holborn. Chose it as it is walking distance between Euston and Covent Garden. The receptionist (Ms. E Wolf) was efficient, helpful and friendly allowing us to check in early which was much appreciated. The room was clean and had everything we needed, including a nice tray with tea, coffee biscuits etc and bathrobes if requested. The room was quiet, although we were not facing the main road, so I cannot vouch for those facing that way. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was a good size with an excellent shower. There is a lovely pool in the basement which we sadly did not have time to use, although my husband did get use out of the small but adequate gym. The hotel was good value for money given the location and quality of the room/facilities.

"No trouble at all"
I arrived into London early and went straight from Heathrow to the Sanderson only expecting to drop of my bags and walk around London in a jet lagged haze till the expected check in time of 3pm. To my surprise Jon at the front desk checked me into my room on my arrival and couldn't have been nicer about it. I used little of the hotel hotel facilities except to use it as a base on my visit to London. My room was alway impeccably clean and filled with lovely high grade toiletries. The room was more than adequate in size for my needs and was filled with the latest technology. The Sanderson wifi was terrifically fast and kept me in contact with family and friends. Upon checking out very early there was no delay and infact Karl the front the receptionist on duty sent me a very nice SMS confirming my payment status. I could not have felt more welcome or at home at the Sanderson and would recommend this hotel to everyone I know wanting to stay in The London SoHo area.

"Excellent hotel and location."
My husband and I spent 5 nights at the Bloomsbury Hotel at the end of a 3 week trip in Spain. The staff were extremely attentive, helpful and friendly. The location is great as it is a short walk to a wide variety of restaurants in nearby Percy and Charlotte Streets and to the Theatre district. There are also 2 underground stations vey close to the hotel and supermarkets. The room was very comfortable and well equipped. For a Central London hotel of good quality it is reasonably priced and I would definitely recommend it.

"Great location, great price"
We booked our stay at the last minute - wanted somewhere cheap and convenient for Covent Garden and the Travelodge was fully booked. So pleased we ended up with this instead! Similar price to the Travelodge but much higher standard - all smart, modern and comfortable and right next to Holborn tube station so very convenient spot. The room was a good sized double, good bathroom (with bath, not just shower) and there was a little kitchenette. Check in and check out were efficient and staff were friendly.

    Bloomsbury, London Hotel Guide

The fashionable residential district of Bloomsbury in central London, dotted with hushed Georgian garden squares, has drawn famous writers and philosophers through the centuries. Virginia Woolf and the Bloomsbury Set redefined the 20th-century novel here, and being the seat of the British Library and the British Museum, it was also where Charles Darwin formulated his historic theory of evolution.
