“Good hotel”

We were met by Maya at the front desk who was lovely and helpful. The hotel is close to Katoomba while not being jammed in the middle. The food was surprisingly good. We were really impressed when they delivered us printed information to our room regarding tours we were interested in and local ideas. The room was a little dated but it is an old hotel and very charming. Really enjoyed ourselves.

“Great choice for the Blue Mountains”

Fantastic view. Great location. Room was very clean and well maintained. Restaurant is pricey and area cafes close at 6PM. All in all a great choice

“Comfortable hotel with great views”

Very comfortable with wonderful views. Friendly staff. Traditional, I could say' old fashioned', hotel but with a welcoming feel. I noted that I could not obtain a Panadol from the desk and that no one offered to go and get one. I thought it would be wise to have a first aid kit at hand. What about people falling into the pool and hitting their head ? What about heart attacks in the freezing water ? !!

“Surprised family”

I was very surprised when we entered the hotel. We have been going to the Blue Mountains as a family for over 10 years and I never knew that the Mountain Heritage existed. The staff where great and friendly to our children and the piano man who played Sat night was fantastic. We stayed in the family room which was fantastic for a family of 5. A lot of the older hotels don't have inter-connecting rooms and these two rooms where huge. The only negative comment I would make is that the hotel does not offer role away beds. The 2nd bedroom was more than big enough to accom all 3 children instead of having to use the sofer bed in our room. We now have a new hotel with character that we can stay at and be together. It was a lovely weekend.

“It was just "ok"”

Although we expected an older "heritage style" hotel, we found it to be old and outdated. The foyer and lounge areas were dull and boring and where there were flowers they were old, fake and dusty. The furniture throughout is old and chipped and didn't like the smell overall in the hotel. The mattressess on the bed and sofa bed were old and uncomfortable and the quilt on our bed had large stains on it. The "games room" only offered one game, a pool table. Have stayed in older hotels before but personally didn't feel the charm and cosiness you usually feel in these hotels. Also, the food served at breakfast was not hot.
