“Mountain View in Ellijay”

When the description says 'mountain view' they really mean it! This hotel is literally on the side of a mountain, with fantastic views of the surrounding countryside. The staff was helpful, the room was nice and clean, and it's a great location if you like small towns. The small shops in Ellijay and nearby Blue Ridge are well worth a day's stay. And during the autumn foliage season, the views are even better. I'd recommend this hotel to anyone, and plan to stay here again when we're back in the area.

“very pleased with stay”

My only complaint-Would have loved to have yogurt or eggs on the breakfast buffet but it was all breads and sweets. Staff was very helpful!

“Loved this little place.....”

For a small hotel, this was exactly what we needed for a one night stay on the way to the mountains. It was clean, the staff couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. Sitting on the little mountain top, the view was beautiful! Would absolutely go back!!

“Don't Pass Up This Hotel”

Our stay was for 1 night...I wish it could have been more. The staff was extremely friendly and knowledgable & the room was in perfect condition. We don't get in this direction of the mountains very often but if I do again, I will make a point to stay here. Others complained about the steep drive up. It is a little steep but VERY short. It would be a shame to miss this hotel because of that criticsm. The breakfast was typical of any hotel continental breakfast. If I want better, than I know to go to a restaurant. I can't complain about their selection when I know what to expect.

“Excellent Hotel & Service”

The staff is super friendly and really cares about your business with them. We were to check in at 3PM but arrived earlier at 12 - Chuck, who was at the reception was a gentleman and checked us right in after making sure our room was serviced well. The room was clean - new towels, no stains, well equipped, the works.. Room service was prompt and pleasant. All in all - an excellent hotel for individuals, couples or families who want a clean and competitively priced accommodation. The breakfast assortment was a little disappointing - there was no meat. But that could just be me. I was hoping for some scrambled eggs and sausages but was not disappointed with the pastries and muffins which they had sourced from a local bakery, they were pretty nice actually. Ellijay is not much of a place for tourists really - apart from few antique stores, flea markets and farmer's market type of events. Blue Ridge was a good 25-30 min drive away - but if you do not mind the drive, this place will serve your purpose more than sumptuously! Would definitely come back / recommend to others!

“Getting Better”

I have stayed at this hotel many times primarily because the location is convenient for work and the price is OK. And i will stay there again. In addition to price and location, they recently replaced ALL the bed mattresses and springs! And got rid of those old blankets/bedspreads in favor of comforter style white top sheets. It is no dream/comfort bed but is now VERY comfortable and the look is MUCH improved. On the con side: carpet and towels still seem "tired", room lighting marginal, internet service spotty in some rooms, and morning breakfast just so-so. All in all, the NEW bed trumps the dated surroundings.

“Mountain view”

Its a steep climb to get to the parking lot, VERY STEEP! But not too long .All rooms enter from the inside hall. The view overlooking Ellijay and the Ellejay River is quite good, Not to far from some good restaurants, next to the Wallmart. But.. The room has some strange smell like old smoke, but it was a no smoking hotel, It could have been some disinfectant ?? Anyway after an hr of airing, it out it was fine. Contental breakfast starting at 6AM.

“hotel was great room was noisy (thin wall i guess)”

loved the service, breakfast, and mostly the beautiful view of the mountains my room was very noise due to next or under the stairs and when they run or step heavy you can hear every step. also the entrance door to the room does not close by itself and you have to be sure it is closed before you leave for safety reasons. love hotel and location and will stay again in the future. Thanks Wished i had written down the lady name at the front dest as she was wonderful and very helpfull in local resturants and location of interest. George
