The hotel is nice, great value for the money. The only draw back is that the hotel does not offer hot water for bathing. one staff member said it's hot in Cartagena, people don't mind cold showers. All but me, but still had a nice stay.

The hotel location is excellent, right on the beachfront. it is a ten minute cab ride to the old city center & about twenty to the airport. Cabs are plentiful, inexpensive & the drivers are very pleasant. The rooftop pool is larger than most, with a bar and a stunning ocean view. There is a sports bar/ restaurant located on the second floor with good food, facing the ocean and open to the breeze. The rooms are comfortable & a nice size. We have stayed there before & would stay there again in the future.

Excellent facilities, very helpful staff, fantastic selection of buffet breakfast dishes. Good location away from the old town but only 6,000 pesos to get into the centre by taxi. 18,000 pesos in taxi from airport.

"Hotel is very pleasant with a very friendly staff,"
We were at the hotel in early May, which is a fairly slow time. The hotel is quite attractive in an excellent location for restaurants, etc. Not far from the beach. They seemed to be well staffed. Only hesitation is that most staff have very limited English skills. So, like most of Colombia, be prepared with at least a few Spanish phrases.

We stayed in this hotel with our daughter and her new Colombian husband following their wedding on our first visit every to Colombia. We took a long time choosing a hotel as it was such an important occasion. It did not disappoint. The rooms were excellent, the staff were friendly, the food was lovely. There is a private beach with sunshades and chairs for free (sunbeds extra) and towels for the pool and beach are free. The sunbeds by the pool are free.
It is close enough to the shops and restaurants in Bocagrande to walk to them (10 mins) and it is just a short taxi ride to the centre and the old walled town which is well worth a visit in the day for its historical interest and in the evening for a wide range of eateries to suit all pockets. We had been warned that Colombia could be a dangerous place but were travelling with a Colombian. However, the hotel has private security who are present but discreet, helping to make guests feel welcome and secure. Highly recommended.
