Good location right by the beach.
Employees were all very good, except, they could have come around a little more often with the coffee at breakfast. Very good breakfast, with godd egg dishes and meats and cheese for us low carbers.
Business center had good internet connection and room wi-fi. Pool area has some nice views. Pool kind of small, but not big deal for me since I would rather be at the beach than the pool.
Would have been nice to have a bottle of two of free water like most Asian hotels have, but there are many supermarkets and mini marts nearby. Hotel minibar was extremely high, so stock up on beer and water from the markets.
Hop on/hop off tour stop is right around the corner.
All in all, I would stay here again.
"Where I will be staying in Cartagena in the future"
Prone to profound laziness, I rarely take time to reflect on places I have stayed, but the staff and room at the Regatta were so wonderful I just have to pass this along. We (myself, wife and newborn baby) couldn't have asked for a more pleasant or satisfying stay in a great city where people do their utmost to promote not only their hotel, but the city, and country, as well. The rooms are converted apartments, and so are very spacious and comfortable, each with its own unique design, and tons of closet space. The beach is directly out front of the hotel, and towel service is provided, although you need to rent chairs and an umbrella ($12-15 all day) if you desire. The location is perfect, easy walking distance to anything you may need (shopping, food), but for me the staff/maintenance's sincerely pleasant, "we will help with whatever " attitude were a most welcome and pleasant part of a spectacular place to stay. Great price, great service, good buffet (simple, but plentiful with great fruit), make this the place I will be staying in Cartagena in the future.
This hotel is located on the beach in Bocagrande which for Americans is like the Rodeo Drive of Beverly Hills or the Madison Avenue of New York City or the Barclay Center of Fourth Avenue Brooklyn NY. It has everything Salsa lessons, beach service, heated pool, excellent staff and wonderful clientele. My family and I met the who's who of South America while enjoying our ten day vacation. The Buffet Breakfast is a 3 hour unforgettable healthy feast for the senses. We felt like we were at a private health spa. It was absolutely SAFE. No worries in Bocagrande. There was live music nightly in the Hotel's club and three casinos in walking distance. I hope to return soon. There are local street vendors that sell fresh water pearls for $15.00 a strand. It is perfect for families, honeymooners, bachelorette and bachelor parties. The weather is tropical and sunny.
My stay at the Costa del Sol was very pleasant, with a very friendly staff, very courteous. The hotel needs some up-keep.It has a window where I stayed that needs some repairs,it does not close tight. The ceiling on the 4th floor has a leakage, however,in general, this hotel does give the client a good memory with a friendly stall, excellent food.That..I loved...
