"Very pleasant stay"
Two couples stayed one night. The rooms were clean, well maintained, and comfortable. They served a real (free) breakfast in their dining room that had a beautiful view of the bay. I don't know where the marginal reviews came from unless there are rooms that have not been updated. Ours were certainly not among them.

"Good value for money. Very helpful staff."
Well located motel above the Bay with some green around. Arrived late, check in was fast and easy. Places to dinner are close by, as is the marina. Rooms were clean and nicely decorated.

Pocket Guide: Bodega Bay, Sonoma Valley Spa Hotels

The backdrop to Hitchcock’s 1963 thriller The Birds, Bodega Bay contains an active commercial fishing port. Boats unload their catch at the popular Tides Wharf, which offers fish markets, shops, and eateries. Beach visitors enjoy beachcombing and whale watching, while hardy surfers ply the chilly waves. To the north is Fort Ross, a former Russian fur trading center established in 1812.
