Nice hotel close to beach but food disappointingPosted Nov 4, 2013
Pros: Location , views and room amenities and cleanliness
Cons: Quality of food , the main courses were low standard though salads were good, just felt they we trying to cut costs
Location: Close to the beach and walking distance to bodrum centre
Stayed for two nights on half board basis , the hotel was well located though the ferry service to bodrum was not operating so had to walk up the hill to get into Bodrum. The buffet dinner was of disappointing quality and not providing water or tea was annoying and only done to make customers buy drinks

Great hotel with private beachPosted Oct 12, 2013
Pros: Private beach and the food
Cons: Remodel the hallways and lobby
Location: Good location in the middle of Gumbet and Bodrum town. There's a boat that goes from hotel to bodrum center (really nice trip)
Great hotel, nice food, private beach, nice pool, good rooms and facilities.

Beach resort hotelPosted Aug 7, 2013
Pros: Clean rooms and good free wi-fi
Cons: Food and oppressive heat in internal communal areas
Location: Lovely views but a very built up area and strangely a complete lack of any breeze so close to the sea.
I do not know if this is standard for 5* hotels in Turkey, however, none of the internal communal areas in the hotel are air conditioned or indeed ventilated beyond open windows. This creates an oppressive stuffy atmosphere. The bedrooms are small but well furnished and the shower rooms well equipped and very clean. The room's air conditioning is good. Each room has a mini bar containing soft and alcoholic drinks. You are supposed to use the bottled water from the mini bar and there are signs indicating that externally purchased items are not allowed. In such a hot climate, the absence of freely provided drinking water at the very least is not good. Wi-fi quality is excellent. The hotel appears to have very good leisure facilities. Food is on a buffet basis. This is impersonal and ends up having the feeling of being in a canteen. Breakfast is reasonable, however, the evening meal we found to be bland and many of the cooked items had suffered from being overcooked and left to stand too long. Overall, whilst it is difficult to flaw the room quality, looking at matters in the round, this would not be a hotel that we would recommend.

Super hotelPosted Jun 7, 2013
Pros: Location, food
Location: It's idol for relaxation and romantic vacation
Only two negative point are the staff don't speak any language but turkey !! Hotel's location from the city,it's very close but hard to walk up hill it's really tough. Other wise to take water taxi cost 6 TL one way. But all other things are really fantastic , location as resort great, facility has every thing (private beach , in&out pool, souna,Turkish bath, work out room, etc. Breakfast &dinner in elegant restaurant with variety and quality of food. OVER ALL THIS HOTEL IS SUPERB. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND . shuttle service not include the price, you have to arrange with the hotel.

Great Beach ValuePosted May 23, 2013
Considering it's low price, especially since breakfasts and dinners were included, we were very pleased with this hotel. After 2 weeks of a busy tour Azka was perfect for our 3 night end of vacation beach lounging time. The beach was perfect! It was sandy, gently sloping, had no surf with water as clear and warm as most swimming pools, & QUIET, There were plenty of lounges & umbrellas both on the beach and the pool & a bar/snackshop. We had a large newly revamped ground floor room without a view but with one of the largest nicest bathrooms we'd ever had in Europe. Though the hotel was doing a lot of revamping, we experienced no noise nor hassle. Some hallways & elevators were closed off making it somewhat a maze during this revamping thus our lower "general condition" mark. The food was typical buffet food with 3-4 entre choices and lots of salads and desserts. Drinks cost extra, even the bottled water, and bringing food or drink from outside was forbidden but for our needs, Azka was a VALUE with it's meals included. Azka's bay is within a mile of Bodrum center where all the sightseeing, shops, restruants & nightlife are close together. Get to town for about $1.50 US. riding van shuttles called "dolmus". They are about 2 blocks away up a steep hill. For $3 US you can avoid the hill by walking a block along the beach where water taxis take you right to town center. We saw the sights within a half day.

Dated facilityPosted May 22, 2013 on Hotels.com
Lack of elevator was a problem. The property is dated and needs upgrading.

Beautiful HotelPosted May 8, 2013 on Hotels.com
We loved our short stay here and wish we could have had longer in our schedule for some more nights. Highly recommend. The only thing that knocks the points back are we did not get a double bed as requested and on entry to room it was obvious there had been smoker(s) staying there and it was classed as non-smoking. On requesting a better room we were told they were full but we saw very little sign that this was true. However this was really a minor considering the overall state of the hotel. Enjoy!

quiet and a bargainPosted Feb 16, 2013 on Hotels.com
Very good service. Even the kitchen prepared a special veggie dinner for us on short notice. Great spa. They know what they doing. One Of the older hotels in town but great maintained. Next time in Bodrum we'll stay in the Azka again! But into town it is a walking distance of approx 3/4 miles up- and downhill. In the season there's a ferry service from the hotel into town.
