You get what you pay for!Posted Aug 8, 2012
You get what you pay for. My room was quiet, well air conditioned (when I was in the room, with my key plugged in). Good breakfast. Nicely landscaped. No frig, no safe. Learn to take the public bus because cabs are expensive. And check to make sure the sheets are clean before you check in. Imagine a surfer's hotel, but in a town outside of Bodrum. The price was right. Don't ask for a room near the pool, unless you are under 30. You get what you pay for!

This was the most misconveyed hotel ive been to ever. The pictures say one thing, it is quite another. It is rated as a 4 star hotel, i give it a 2, maximum. The entrance was ok, the pool was ok, but the walkways to the rooms were completely unkept, with weeds and overgrown shrubs. All this was ok, no big deal. But when we reached the room it was completely unacceptable, the walls had falling paint, the beds were like rocks, the pillows were literally yellow from lack of washing, there were hairballs on the floor, and the bathroom wasnt clean enough. Add to this one employee who works as a bellboy, housekeeper, and room service for the whole hotel.... sorry expedia, this hotel was a 2 star maximum

Fine ValuePosted Nov 5, 2009
l'Ambiance Resort is at the edge of Bodrum city center. It has no view of the sea, but it has a large beautiful pool and enjoys the luxury of open space in an otherwise crowded city center. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Usefully furnished. Small and tasteful. Hot water for the small shower is intermittant. Included food is frequent, tasty and abundant. Mediterranean style food with abundant fresh vegetables, fruit and bread all well prepared and seasoned. The general staff is helpful and pleasant if often overworked. In the casual environment you will find at l'Ambiance it is best to leave the staff free to do their duties in order that you not notice their need--only their efforts to keep the place neat and orderly. Fine for a short getaway and also a good place to call home during a longer holiday as you explore the area.
