The only thing we liked about the property was staff members. They were great, professional and very friendly. The wi-fi doesn't work in the room and could do much better with TV size and channels.

The hotel and staff was very poor. Our room was moldy and dirty and filled with mesquites on the walls and ceiling. The ac blew directly on the bed so you frozen if you used the unit. We stayed one night but had booked 7 nights . We moved to better hotel in bodrum for almost the same price . Food was poor quality and displayed in a rather unappealing manner. Do Not book this hotel

Extremely smelly rooms - smelled like wet dog. Really bad Wi-Fi connectivity. We had to call every few hours for a “technician” to fix it. They had fixed times for food but started removing it and making it inaccessible 30min prior to dining end time.

Find yourself a better hotel
It all depends on your expectations and what you want to get out of the holiday. Although it was advertised as a 5* all inclusive, it really is a 3* at best. There are two main pools in the hotel. The "relax pool" is a a pool mainly where families and couples will hang out. We spent most of our time here until there was a situation where a kid pooed in the pool. It took the staff approx 3-4 hours to do anything about it. They didn't have a sign up so people kept on jumping in despite the poo. It was so gross to watch. The other pool labelled "activity pool" - I strong advise staying away from. It's full of men who wear bum bags and gold chains around their neck. They sit in the pool all day blasting house music. It's quite intimidating and not a very friendly atmosphere, especially if you have children. The staff are relatively helpful, though some were plain rude. Especially the guy who serves drinks at the main restaurant. He blanked us every time we tried to order a drink and I also heard guests say the same. The alcoholic drinks were disappointing and the beer was always flat. The rooms are okay, I suppose. Though, they seem to be infested with mosquitos. I tried to count how many times I was bitten on my legs - I got up to 30 before I gave up counting. Some places around the hotel smell like sewerage - awful to walk past at times. Overall, hotel is very dated and could do with modernisation. Tacky furniture that has a lot of stains.

I visit Turkey every year and stay in 4 or 5 star hotels. This hotel was one of the worst 5 star hotels I’ve seen. It should be 3 start with 3 out of 5 rating. The rooms were not properly cleaned. There was mold in the shower. The food is not good! There isn’t a real entertainment at night which most all inclusive have. The quality of drinks are very poor. The a la cart restaurants are not good. People come to hotel around 3-5am yelling and talking loudly bothering guests and there isn’t anyone to tell them to be quiet. You can hear loud music at night and day time. Dinner is served at 7:30 and from 2pm the only food you can find is some pastry! This hotel is not cheap for what they offer. Not sure who gives these hotels stars but they should definitely reconsider this being a 5 start hotel!!!

The property was good, well located, but the staff, despite being friendly, didn’t speak a lot of English, so communicating was a challenge throughout my stay. I was not impressed with the food, quite bland and most of the items didn’t have labels in English, so many times I didn’t know what I was eating. I also had an issue with the Wi-Fi connection, 3 days in, it stopped working and despite complaining, there was not a satisfactory solution for it. In fact, there was no solution at all, I was told the problem was my phone, but it worked anywhere else, except there. Also, the night before checking out, I was packing and when trying to open the safe to retrieve my passport, the safe didn’t work. I called the reception and it took them almost an hour and 2 phone calls for them to send someone to help. It turned out, the battery on the safe died, but I feel some details about the room/hotel were not cared for properly.

Absolutely loved our stay. The hotel staff was super accomodating and switched our two rooms to a gorgeous family room as we were travelling with kids. The beach is wonderful as is the pool. The staff is all fantastic and the hotel is located very close to all the happening spots in bodrum. Over all a wonderful experience.

Worse hotel I stayed, I do not know how this hotel is rated as five stars, even not qualified for four stars, room is too small, the bed is smaller than twin, no lotion, put all hair conditioners at the room, called the room service, then put all shower gels, room is stinky, bathroom is cracked, for foods, very limited choices, all the same for a week, if you go there a bit later, you will miss fish, people are fighting for fish, only good food there, no shrimps or other seafood, out of this resort is dirty, even inside it is not kept clean, a tiny theater, where you have daily show, worse than a street performance, for the beach, hard to see such bad water and sands, the service is very bad, few people speak English, cocktails are just like water, this resort is not near five stars, at the maximum, three stars, stay away from this hotel, unless you want to mess up your expensive vacation

This was our third stay last time was 7 years ago .. you would have thought being a return customer the hotel would look after us!! But NO the room they put us in the flooring was coming up the shower didn’t work and door frame came away whilst opening…we change rooms after complaining.. the hot food was cold most off the time very limited choice ok if your wanting to diet !! And when it get busy they only have one bar tender so people get very frustrated.. they have spent some money doing up foyer and lounge but rest off hotel needs money spent on it …also the sun beds by relaxation pool are so uncomfortable they do your back in….the plus is that the hotel has amazing views from roof top restaurant…..

This property needs complete renovation! A lot of cleaning is required for this property. I checked in once weren’t to the room I went back to the front desk asked for refund. The guests were so annoying we had to call the reception everynight and they did not take any action i even asked them to call the police. Dear Expedia Customer care team, I don't know where to start with our horrible experience during our 7 day stay at Royal Asarlik Beach Hotel & Spa - All Inclusive in Bodrum Turkey from August 24th to September 1st. (Respective Itineraries: # 7456173968213 & 7456177873203). This vacation supposed to be a reunion of my family members where 10 people wanted to enjoy the re-union in a relaxing atmosphere without any hassles or stress. Unfortunately we ended up going through a nightmare with this hotel which resulted us to cancel the hotel for the second week and made a new hotel reservation in the same area, where at least we can enjoy the rest of the vacation at least for the second week, and were willing to pay more than $2,400 plus transport cost and other terrible experiences, so we can get rid of this horrible hotel. I have listed in the attached PDF 19 different major incidents and issues mostly with the hotel, but also included my experience with your poor customer support. After I created the list, I could not believe that we went through lot of horrible issues and asked my self, how Expedia can rate and list this hotel in their catalog and give them a 5 Stars rating? As a long term Expedia customer I rely on your quality management team and their audits and I was wondering if you have ever conducted an audit with this vendor? Since our first week of our vacation was a total waste of money with no joy, I demand a response from your management team by September 15th 20

The property had a great vibe and great location. The rooms could use a little updating and the beds could be a little more comfortable but this has been stated before in the reviews and I knew this upon booking. There could be a little more variation and improvement in the food offerings also. Over all if you’re expecting 3.5 star hotel you will be pleased... if you’re expecting 5 stars you will be disappointed.

Improvement needed
The hotel rooms are in need of an update and thorough clean. The food repetitive and bland. Service ok but housekeeping needs improvement. Mehmet at the bar a gem, really engages with customers. Bodrum centre 3.25TL with dolmush and 25TL with taxi so a little isolated from the main town.

Hot meals cold. If English do not expect anything that resembles an English breakfast. Food very poor we had to eat out every day. This adds more cost to what should of catered for all inclusive. Room was OK but room very hot when you return as power to air con only goes on when you insert door key card. Safe was £20 extra which considering the price should be free. Towels changed daily, shower room old and looks run down but OK. Beds OK and sheets changed daily. The sea view was more about what the roofs of the buildings in front look like, which most needed some work on. The cleaners come round early and even though we put on door not to disturb the did, also on last day we paid extra to keep the room till late so we could get ready later. This was also so we could pack later so we did not want room service done. When we returned someone had been in, taken the tip we planned to leave later, but the worrying thing was everything was out ready to pack including the safe contents. Drinks are OK but only local so nothing like what you expect, the bars around to pools and beach are poor. They smell and look untidy, dirty floors and the equipment looks ready to pack up. The staff work very long hours so do look tired towards the end of their day. Plenty of sun loungers, towels and places to rest, beach area OK but need something on your feet to get in and out of the sea as it’s very stoney.

After having a fantastic holiday last year at the Royal Asarlik we could not wait to go back. The hotel has amazing views, beautiful pools and great staff. Food is varied and always plenty of it from 7am to midnight with wide choice of drinks and cocktails. Rooms are a good size and comfortable and cleaned on a daily basis. The only downside for this hotel is that although it is a distance from the clubs, they are very loud and can be heard from the rooms causing some sleep disruption well into the early hours. However there are plenty of shops and bars within walking distance and you can always snooze around the pools.

we had to wait two hours for the room to be ready, but after we have entered to room it was still not cleaned,dirty plates everywhere, no soap in the bathroom and the minibar was empty and no drinking water. The wifi had poor connection and it was almost impossible to use a chat app. Moreover, our room was located directly near a generator which was turned on one time at 5am and couldnt sleep after that. The advantage of the hotel is the location, its 10min away from bodrum city by taxi and 5min walking from the bar street, in addition the hotel has a straight access to the beach and a good restaurant with a nice view.

The Hotel was great.. Old little bit so we can say it was 5 stars hotel 7 years ago but still great. The staff were great smiling friendly and helpful and most of them were trying to speak English witch is good. The food was amazing, a lot of different dishes every time, food and sweets all of the day. Drink what ever you want from the bars, eat snakes and ice cream enjoy the sun then at the end of the day wash your self in the Turkish bath. We booked a stranded room it was ok but no WiFi in the rooms. The relaxing room looked great so if you want to relax spend some more money and book the relax room. We recommend this hotel strongly.
