Disappointing

Posted Jun 30, 2014
Pros: The staff was nice.
Cons: Everything...please update the facility, mainly the rooms.
Location: Nothing really.
I would not recommend this place to family and friends. The facility was outdated, rooms were old with multiple bugs and spiders everywhere. There isn't also much to do here and it's not a place for young couples. The staff were pretty nice tho for the most part.

A nice place for a great family vacation

Posted Jun 29, 2014
Cons: Room cleanliness.
Location is perfect right on the beach. All-inclusive is a treat with so many choices including a variety of food and snacks throughout the day and night. Drinks included. Room cleanliness can be improved a bit. Service was great and staff very pleasant. Entertainment programs are very rich with a show every night. Gumbet buses run every 5 minutes and stop at the hotel entrance so transportation to Bodrum is cheap and easy. Plenty of shopping, cafes and restaurants within an 8 minute walk in Gumbet center. A great place for a family vacation. highly recommended.

excellent hotel with plenty to do

Posted May 6, 2014
Pros: sports - swimming pool / table tennis / beach volleyball / free pool table (good quality) / tennis courts / mini football pitch
Cons: animation staff need more oomph - breakfast - needs bacon and sausages - i had fried egg with omelette every day
Location: location would have been good - but we came too early in the season, and the main resort was still shut (gumbet) dolmus to bodrum was fun - but slow
2 adults 2 teenage boys - all enjoyed it - even though we came a few weeks too early in the season (easter) gumbet was shut and weather a bit changeable - so pool was a bit cold view of the bay was gorgeous, lots of steps on the complex all inclusive buffet food was ok - not special - but we used the italian restaurant every day between 12 noon and 4 delicious pizzas / burgers / spag bols - and another bonus was the main restaurant open through the night - so we feasted on midnight cheese on toast - before congaring down to the D.I.S.C.O lots of sports facilities on site which was great for me, the staff were really friendly Turkish people but we felt the animation team didnt really get things going - not very organised or enthusiastic. boring music around the pool - only changed on our last day evening entertainment was simple audience participation - but I cried with laughter every night - especially the elastic band trick and the driving experience would def go back - lots of things going for it - just simple improvements could be made - like getting rid of all the sharp rocks in the middle of the beach volleyball pitch - its not that big and wouldnt take long to clear - but it's little things that they just dont think of i hope that doesnt come across as too much moaning (perhaps it's cos i;m getting old) there are some great staff here including the cleaners who were really friendly

Great overall, Spa was the best

Posted Apr 19, 2014
They work very hard at this hotel to keep the customers happy and entertained. Staff were the best and always there when you needed something, The spa was the best and I went a couple of times, both times loved it the fish restaurant and the Italian were great but the Turkish Restaurant gave us cold food.

All inclusive food minced meat, stuffed peppers,

Posted Sep 9, 2013 on Hotels.com
Although the hotel is well located close to town, I would not return here, I would probably look for a non all inclusive package hotel with few clients; more boutique like as the WOW was so packed with holidaymakers there was no room on the rather poor beach. The food was all minced meat and stuffed bell peppers with no real main course options. The waiters were too busy trying to clean up dining tables that one had to find ones own cutlery etc. Staff very friendly though. Never again.

Decent Hotel, lacks customer service.

Posted Jul 19, 2013
Pros: Buffet and the restaurants are very good. The hotel is very close to downtown Gumbet (walking distance); also very close to Bodrum (5-10min bus ride).
Cons: Customer service; WiFi.
Location: Nightlife in Gumbet and Bodrum. Boat tours, scuba diving. Nice restaurants.
If you are traveling from the States, you might be disappointed with the customer service. Most of the staff are nice but they do lack the decision making ability. When they face with a question that they have not heard before they choose to dismiss it by saying "We can't do it'. Overall, good experience; WiFi is terrible, the only place you can get some connection is the reception area. Buffet and the restaurants are good, you can pretty much eat and drink the whole day; no problem. Alcoholic beverage choices are very limited. One type of beer, rum and vodka; still pretty good considering you don't pay extra for any of it. Pool area is very nice but you need to wake up early to get a seat around the pool area.

Good stay - but not 4-star; families will love it

Posted Jun 4, 2013 on Hotels.com
We had a good stay at this hotel. The staff were friendly and the hotel grounds and rooms were clean. I must say though, that based on the quality of food and the old-fashioned decoration of the room, I wouldn't rate this as a 4star hotel. Nevertheless, I guarantee that you would find something from the buffet or a la carte restaurants that take your fancy. You are allowed to eat at each of the three a la carte restaurants once per week, which, for some, might be a nice departure from the buffet dining. The wifi is very poor and really only works in the room. I went in May and it wasn't overcrowded - sunbeds always available by the pool etc. Families will certainly love this hotel: as it is all inclusive it means nobody will ever go hungry, plus there are lots of activities for everyone all day long! There are sports (tennis, volleyball etc) as well as a Games Room with arcade games, pool/snooker, table tennis etc. The hotel has a private beach - but like all other beaches in the Gumbet/Bodrum area, the sandy part is very narrow/very close to the water. The location is excellent - close to everything and less than 15mins walk to the nightlife. I went with friends - we are 30yrs old and couldn't help but feel jealous about the music we heard at another hotel...we suspected that hotel must have been hipper and more lively for young people. The WOW is quiet and I'd say WOW is best for families with kids.
