Seems new, but certainly not modern.Posted Apr 6, 2015
Location: Everything in the Candelaria is close at hand.
Location is very good if you want to be in the Candelaria district. The top of the toilet tank, hidden under a top shelf, had not been dusted in ages. The drainage of the toilet was soooo slow that it required extra flushing to get it to empty.

The Best Hotel for Quick GetawayPosted Mar 30, 2015
Pros: The personnel and security staff made me feel at home.
Cons: Probably more flexibility with the late night dining and bar and the hotel.
Location: La Candelaria is a picturesque "barrio" at a walking distance. Taxis are accesible 24/7. Universities, Museums and historical sites are also close.
The personnel was very amiable and kind. They were attentive and very professional. At first, I was surprised the rooms had no air conditioner, but soon I realized it's not even needed: Bogotá's average temperature is 65 degrees and below. Restaurants are at a walking distance.

Very nice and safe place to stayPosted Mar 28, 2015
Pros: Its staff and location. The room was pretty good as well.
Location: It's close to museums, historical buildings and financial and governmental buildings.
Bogota's downtown is close to many museums and main attractions, but it can be a bit unsettling for foreign tourists. The hotel was just what we needed to make our visit pleasant, they were always willing to get out of their way to help us get excursion reservations done, exchange money at a good rate in the right place or just get a power plug adapter bought. Overall it was a very good stay.

Good safe welcoming hotel in la candelabra, bogotaPosted Feb 22, 2015
Pros: Perfect location, very pleasant staff and a very good breakfast.
Location: La Candelaria is full of bars restaurants craft shops. At night be a little cautious. And the cable car to Montserrat is a leisurely 15 minutes wak a
Everyone. was very helpful, buffet breakfast excellent and the room self, bright, airy and comfortable.. We overlooked the rear, so the view was limited. The key is that the hotel was ideally placed for the La Candelaria district a nd the gold museum. Safety is a consideration in Bogota so the 24 hour security at the entrance was important.

Don't be scared!Posted Jan 30, 2015 on Hotels.com
As we drove up to the hotel in our taxi, we wondered if we made a mistake and were going to be in a scary neighborhood. First impressions proved wrong! The neighborhood does reflect Bogota's have/have not society, but it is safe (given normal traveler precautions). The staff at the hotel (e.g., Olga) was extremely helpful and friendly. Our upper floor room had an amazing view of the park and Monserrate, and Guadalupe located at the top of two mountains. The hotel is also located within easy walking distance of many local points of interest. The free wifi ase strong in our large, modern and clean room. The breakfast is varied and we enjoyed it very much. We would book again.

Nice Little Hotel with a Great View!Posted Jan 27, 2015 on Hotels.com
We were at the hotel for 3 nights. The neighborhood appears to be a little sketchy at first but gets better after you've been there a while. Beautiful view from the rooms. Furniture is dated but comfortable. Staff (particularly Olga) is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is really good with a local flavor. It's right on the square and main roads so it's a bit noisy. Bring you earphones or sound machine!!!
