Good location

Pros: Spacious and good restaurant (as well breakfast buffet).
Location: Note above notes.
In addition to being good apartment for or more days with kitchen, bar, & restaurant, has good access to northbound highway to Chia and Cathedral of Salt (Cathedral de Sal).

Nice business hotel and close to bus station

The hotel was easy to find it is on one of the main avenues of bogota. We went for a congress and the services were what we need for a week. Unfortunally, desk staff from the day shift (two young men) gave the worst service i ever had as a guest hotel at the check in. They charged a insurance that was optional and that we declined from the start, one of them i even asked him later if he did changed it and said that it was not charge. I came early because of the flight and they told to wait til one room was free, they sent me to the restaurant and never call me back, as they promise, i had to get close and ask again. I did sleep much the day before and i was feeling lousy. Staff from the rest of the hotel were kind and honest, it is too bad the impression of the people who are the one face to customer. I recommend some coaching desesperally.

Lancaster House is a very nice hotel with an excellent service, specially in the restaurant. Breakfast is delicious and the room is very nice with an small kitchen.

Loved the stay!

Pros: The service and the rooms looked amazing.
Cons: Wifi.....wifi was horrible. Very spoty. If you were you were on the first floor the connection was awesome. My room was located in the third level.
Location: Restaurants, walking track, shopping center
I enjoyed the stay. The hotel itself looks amazing!! Many restaurants can be found down the road. My only complaint was the internet. Not reliable at all. My solution was to go to main lobby to use the connection to back up my documents. I was pulling close to 50mbps. In my room.....0.10 mbps. Slow!! Overall though, I will be staying at this hotel if I ever come back.

Great Hotel, Easy to find with GPS.

Pros: It has a classic look. It makes you feel like you have entered another era from the past. And although it has a vintage look, everything works great.
Cons: The beds are a little bit hard. Check-in is a bit long. They need new sofa beds.
Location: We went to Monseratte on a Sunday, huge line ups but totally worth it. We didn't make it to the Gold Museum, again, but that is another attraction.
We arrived at 10:00pm- ish and we did not want to make the drive to Villavicencio in the dark, plus we wanted to see some of Bogota (Monseratte, Gold museum) so we booked 2 nights at this hotel. This hotel is close to the airport so that is great. GPS units can be pretty useless on Bogota streets. In this case we were able to find this hotel with our GPS, which is incredible. In the past we have had to put one of us in cab and then follow in the rental car to find hotels in Bogota. This can be more than a little stressful both for the leader and the follower.The hotel is beautifully decorated in a vintage style, looks like it might have in the 1950's or so, but everything worked well. Wifi worked well. Showers, toilets, microwave all worked well. Fridges were apartment sized so lots of room in them. We parked underground and there is a security guard minding the locked gate so the vehicle was safe. Check in was a bit long as they took photo copies of our passports. Breakfast was included and was very good. They offered a wide variety of Columbian treats. Empanadas, Chorizo sausage, Arapas, Patacones. Omelets made to order and of course great coffee. The sofa bed was fairly old looking and uncomfortable, so I don't recommend more than a night or two on that. I do recommend you try and get a room with the deck. The decks are a large common deck, divided with short brick walls to give you some privacy. The deck was like having an extra room to relax in.

Dear Chris, I am glad your stay at Lancaster House was to your liking, and you enjoyed our Art Deco style decor as well as our suites with a private terrace. For readers I would like to clarify that the decor is Art-Deco style, but the hotel is less than 18 years old and has yearly renovations so as to always be up to the standards requiered by our guests. I am glad you enjoyed our COlombian food as we like to feature some of our cuisine to our travelers.

Street noice

Pros: service was good
Cons: may use noise reduction windows improve ventilation in the kitchen
Location: location was very good
The first room had a whole in the windows frame and all the noise from the street and dust came to the room. The next room had similar problems with noise it was hard to sleep I had to use ear plugs. Also the ventilation from the kitchen is poor all the smells go up to the elevator and the halls

Worse hotel ever

I arrived overnight, so they didn't find my reservation and the staff said that I have to contact expedia at 12 Am in the morning because they can't help me with it so I got very upset and they had me there till 1:30 and then they woke me up at 12 to remind me that the check out its at 1

Great value for money in Bogotá

We made a last minute booking so it wasn't my usual choice but it turned out to be located well and good value for money. Staff very attentive.
