Great location

We were travelling from Idaho Falls to Portland. It was just like home and lots of personal touches. At last a kettle so I could have a proper cup of tea!

Just Like Home

Posted May 24, 2014 on Hotels.com
A cozy and comfortable space in a delightful residential district of Boise. I was able to walk and bike everywhere in the city I wanted to go. Despite the absence of a "live" person at the guest house, the remote system was actually very welcoming and efficient.

Private, secluded yet in the heart of downtown.

Posted May 21, 2014
Pros: (see above)
Cons: I was nervous about overnight parking, because the signage was confusing, was worried rental car would get towed.
Location: Very conveniently situated near the capitol building.
I was not expecting a full sized kitchen nor a spare bedroom, so that was an added bonus. I also liked that they have bicycles for rent. The only thing I did not like was there is only a shower rather than a bath tub, and this would not be ideal for those traveling with an infant or toddler.

Uncomfortable stay

Posted Apr 9, 2014 on Hotels.com
The heat was not on in our room when we arrived about 9:30 pm. Room number 2 has hardwood floors so it was very cold getting ready for bed. When we turned the heat on it was baseboard heat and the head of the bed was about 12 inches from the heaters which were loud. There is no headboard on the bed so you cannot lean up against it. There is only a hard plastic chair in the room so it was not comfortable to sit in for any length of time. There is no common area indoors. I would not recommend this unit because of these factors.

fantastic alternative to a hotel/motel

Terrific location, wonderful amenities. I can't imagine staying in a hotel or motel given this alternative. SO much more comfortable and relaxing. Great historic character as well.

Mental relaxation

Posted Mar 18, 2014 on Hotels.com
I was schedule for a medical procedure and while I wasn't too worried about it the Boise Guest House was just what I needed to mentally relax and emotional prepare for it. The room was clean, cheery, comfortable and quite. The owners were easy to work with, as I wasn't attached to e-mail they called and left a great message of how the check in works. This is an old property, so expect, creaking steps and floors but the days gone by charm makes up for it. I would highly recommend this property, I wish I'd have had time to explore the neighborhood and had been able to meet the owners. They've done a wonderful job with Boise Guest House.

Quaint and quiet

Posted Mar 7, 2014
Pros: There was a nice big table which I used as a desk for work.
Location: It is a short cab ride from the airport and is close to the Capitol and St. Luke's Hospital
I was only in town for business and only for 2 nights, so I was not able to take advantage of the kitchenette, but it would be great for an extended stay. I was my first experience with self check in, but it worked out fine. The location allowed me to walk to my meetings. The weather was nice, so I sat on the front porch for a while one evening.

I will stay here again

Posted Feb 19, 2014 on Hotels.com
I have already recommended this B&B to another friend! I stayed here before the Smart Women Smart Money Conference in Boise. The room was lovely! It was toasty warm when I arrived and did not take long to cool down a bit to the exact right temperature. The TV had a video of a fireplace on it, which was great. The little kitchette was so sweet and had everything you could need. I wish I could have stayed for a week. The location is amazing, right downtown a couple blocks from the capitol and from all the restaurants. The neighborhood is just that, a neighborhood. Very nice and well cared for. If you book this B&B through hotels.com give the B&B a call to get the code for the door. Apparently hotels.com does not give the B&B a way to contact you to give you the code.
