Real budget: you get what you pay for

Posted Oct 5, 2014
Pros: Close to downtown Boise. Price (could have been cheaper for what one got though)
Cons: Tea as well as coffee offered in room. Some form of continental breakfast on offer for the price. Real half & half not that toxic poison creamer
Location: Very close to downtown Boise, not a lot of options for eating nearby though.
This is truly a budget roadside motel and you get what you pay for. Is it worth the price given that it is the cheapest motel around? Why the heck is overnight budget accommodation so expensive? Room and bed linen were clean but stale, very generic passing through budget motel. No other facilities like pool or hot tub and only coffee and polystyrene cups, slightly worse for the wear coffee maker. No tea. No really good eating places close by but it is close to downtown if you are driving so worked for me for my early morning meeting downtown. Water was hot and abundant. There is noise from a busy road but that comes with the territory of budget downtown motel. It was obvious that the toilet/bathroom was undergoing renovations - the toilet wobbled in a decidedly vertiginous manner.

Close to downtown

Posted Sep 28, 2014
Pros: Location
Cons: Room 28 needs to be updated.
A friend and I stayed here for a night so we could go bar hopping downtown. Good location for a cheap round trip cab ride. We stayed in separate rooms. My friend's room was very nice for the cheap price. Mine on the other hand was disappointing. It was very run down looking and made me think of an hourly hotel if you understand my meaning. Also, the part of the hotel I stayed at is underneath what I believe is the owner's living space. Tried taking a nap in the afternoon and it was a little difficult because the TV above me was so loud. Check in was smooth. The only downside is the guy checking us in offered to put us in room next to each other. We said of course we'd appreciate that. After checking me in to a ground floor room, he then told us that we would NOT be next to each other because he wanted to make sure if someone coming in later needed a ground floor room, he wanted to make sure one was available. We were checking in at 4 in the afternoon - I doubt all the ground floor rooms were taken by then. He didn't even offer to move me to an upstairs room (which I would have been fine with) so we could still be next to each other.

Clean room, suspect area

Posted Aug 14, 2014 on Hotels.com
It was a great stay and close to what we had planned. Room was clean and comfortable, serviceable for a one night stay for adults, not sure I would stay here with kids unless no other options were available. Location to downtown was nice, but area itself was suspect at best. It's a older motel/ hotel needing some Love. It's just basic

Adequate hotel within walking distance of downtown

The Cabana Inn is the least expensive of hotels in or on the edge of downtown Boise, Idaho. Nothing fancy, but adequate, quiet and secure.

Works Fine

It's not fancy by any means, but gets the job of sleeping and showering done. The front desk woman was extremely kind and answered all my questions well.

Okay room for a night.

Stopped for a night while on a motorcycle trip. Hotel looks old, but is well maintained. Room was in good shape and clean. No breakfast or coffee available in the morning. Okay for a quick stay to sleep.
