Great stay with family and a pet!

Posted Apr 15, 2014
Pros: The overall experience was positive and I would choose this hotel again if I was in the area.
Cons: The one negative to this facility is that they have no elevator and three floors to the hotel. All of our luggage had to be carried up the stairs.
Our stay at La Quinta Inn Caldwell was a good experience. This hotel is pet friendly! They provide a dog walking area at the back of the hotel out of the way of cars and people. They were able to group five rooms together for our family to be near each other. The morning breakfast was good and they had many options to choose from for food.

Great, affordable pet-friendly, stop on I-84

Location: Nampa Dog Park is 20 minutes away
Excellent beds and bedding! Pet friendly (and non-discriminatory!)...enough room to walk your canine buddy after a long drive. Tasty free breakfast. Somehow my check-out staff are ALWAYS nicer than my check-in staff...wonder why that is. Altogether: recommended.

Okay hotel for the price

Posted Mar 11, 2014
Pros: The bed
Cons: No elevator, better room key situation.
Location: Don't know.
The hotel was okay. The facilities were a little on the rundown side, but not terrible. There is no elevator and I kept having trouble with my room key and had to keep going up and down the steps. The continental breakfast is the normal fare for this level of hotel. It was fine. The bed was very comfortable.

Pleasantly surprised

Pros: See above.
Location: Let's face it. Caldwell is no great destination, and in the winter with the inversion, it is downright depressing. Boise is not far off, however.
I had always heard that, of the two hotels by the freeway in Caldwell, the La Quinta was the bad one. I had stayed at the Best Western before, next door to it, but this is the first time I stayed at the La Quinta. Due to the need to take a sudden family trip, I had to take what was available. I'm glad I did. The staff were very nice and helpful, the beds and pillows were super comfy, and there was no bleach smell in the sheets or towels. The place was clean and convenient, and the free breakfast was amazing. Biscuits and gravy, eggs, oatmeal, muffins, unlimited coffee & OJ, free Sunday paper, etc. When my sisters flew in a few days after I checked in, the staff had no problem upgrading us to a new room. I recommend this hotel to anyone who finds the need to visit Caldwell.

First stay at La Quinta

Posted Jan 19, 2014 on Hotels.com
I travel a bit. Always looking for inexpensive but clean and quiet. La Quinta was both of those and had a spa and pool besides - both clean and well maintained. Had to change my room floor and it was handled quickly and with no attitude, except a pleasant one! Will certainly stay here again when I am in the area!

Great place for kids

Posted Jan 9, 2014
Pros: Everything
Cons: Serve chocolate cookies all day. LOL
Location: We visit family
We stayed here for three days while visiting family in the area and the staff was excellent. The rooms were clean. The breakfasts were amazing including biscuits and gravy, sausage, fried potatoes, and waffles of various sizes. We had family come to the motel and visit us and the staff was gracious enough to let us use the breakfast room for a pizza party and the kids loved the pool. Would stay here again. Of course.

Good enough

Stayed here while moving across country. It was clean and comfortable and pet friendly, so it was good enough for our overnight stay.

Over all this was a good hotel. Completely breakfast was good but was the same everyday. Beds where comfortable but room was always warm and HVAC couldn't cool the room off [good thing it was January in Idaho]. customer service was not the greatest. I lost my key in the parking lot and called the front desk to see if they could find them [I was parked right out the front door from the desk] they were hesitant to help but said she would then give me a call. Never hear back from them.
