“Nice hotel, matress wasn't very comfy, but good hotel!”

My husband and I just didn't sleep well. Other than that the hotel was nice for the price. Good service and decent breakfast. If we needed to we'd stay there again.

“Very Impressed”

Very reasonable rates, free hot breakfast and very friendly and helpful staff. I would definitely recommend this hotel and stay there again.

“Economical & Convenient”

The Sandman Hotel in Meridian, Idaho is a great place to stay! They welcome pets and they even have an outdoor pool to relax in during the summer months. It's location is very convenient and there is a restaurant, Moxie Java, Walgreens, & gas station in walking distance.

“Clean Room!!”

The room was very clean and the staff was very friendly. They were very flexible with all of my requests. The room was nice and clean. The shower door handle was broken but it was not a deal breaker or anything. You could hear cars on the freeway at night but the air conditioner worked great!

“Good value for the money”

Clean, friendly and surprisingly quiet for this type of hotel. Convenient location for Boise and surrounding areas. Great breakfast! Nice pool and spa. I would definitely return and recommend to others.

“Pleasantly suprised.”

The room was very nice with recessed lighting, frig and microwave, comfortable bed. The breakfast was amazing. Many truckers have discovered this very nice stop. The neighborhood was all parking lot and connecting gas station which generated some concerns for security. Hotel staff described frequent checks from nearby police station patrolman alleviating our concerns.

“Great hotel and pet friendly”

The front desk receptionist was friendly and helpful. Check in was fast and easy. The room was a little smaller than expected from seeing the pictures, but still good enough. Had a small complication with the fold out sofa bed: there was not enough room to open it from the strange placement of all the furniture. So we moved some furniture around and finally got it open, then realized part of it was broken so the mattress wasnt supported. We called down stairs and they were very helpful, apologized for the inconvenience, and brought up a cot at no additional charge. She stated they would have given us a different room with a better layout but they were booked up, (if you plan on using the sofa bed make sure you ask for a room that has space to open it). Kind of a hastle having to put the cot in the only walkway to the door and kitchenette, but oh well. It was only 2 nights while moving into a new place from out of state. Convenient location with a gas station and restaurant in the same parking lot, near everything (freeway, main roads, food, gas, water park, fun zone). Traffic was a little noisy at times, but didn't really bother us.

Getting around

Beware of Eagle Rd and Meridian Rd between 4pm and 6pm on weekdays, it's heavily traveled, as are most of the larger Roads in town. 84 Freeway is not really needed or used to get across towns, it's always flowing.

Dining

JB's restaurant is next to the hotel and has amazing food. You must try it!

“This hotel needs to be retired”

This hotel would have gotten a better rating if it had an elevator and it seemed like the hot water was on a meter, The pool had poor lighting (safety issue)and was located in the "smoking area" a seperate building of the hotel. In general the staff was great but the hotel was sad.

“Nice and Affordable”

It was a nice hotel, and it smelled and looked clean. The neighborhood was far enough off the main road that it was quiet, and there was a nice little restaurant right on the corner. The only downfall was that the bathrooms were kind of small, and the bed didn't come any bigger than doubles. But it was cheap, free breakfast, and peaceful enough to sleep. There was also an outdoor pool available, as well as a hot tub, both of which looked like they were taken care of. Definitely would stay there again.
