Nice, cheaper place to stay

Posted Sep 12, 2014
Pros: I liked everything about this motel.
Cons: The only thing that could be improved is the ease in finding the motel. Boise streets are a little confusing, which the motel cant fix of course.
Location: Nice river front with walking path away from noisy interstates. Not many places to shop near by whether it's for gasoline, grocery, or trinkets.
Very nice, clean place to stay. Wonderful location on the river, was nice and quiet for the most part. The motel was easy to navigate and in very good condition. Very, very clean. The cleanest motel Ive stayed in for twice the money. The staff was absolutely wonderful! The breakfast was amazing, very well rounded and hot. Had a patron who had stayed there who became quite obnoxious and loud and nasty with their own family at breakfast. The employee working the breakfast took care of this problem woman very quietly and courteously so the rest of us patrons could finish our breakfast in peace. She needs a medal and a raise!

Location: close to down town
Greenbelt walking, hiking, bicycle riding, etc, a 26 miles well maintained lane for nature enthusiasts.

Stay was fine.

Pros: Location
Cons: Disclose the fee up front.
Our experience was good but we were not aware of a $25.00 charge for Shilo Inn. This was never disclosed and makes it so we can just call the hotel to get the best deal without the extra charge.

For the price you can pick better.

Pros: The staff, the view, within walking distance to restaurants.
Cons: Carpets and drapes need to be replaced and walls and ceilings painted to make it an officially smoke free room. Pool and hot tub need to be cleaned.
Location: Well if you are on the river side of the hotel it is very pretty and great for people watching.
First I requested a king with sleeper sofa ended up with two queens, when I checked in she saw that I had requested the king and sleeper but she just shrugged her shoulders and said they were overbooked. Smoke free room... we had the balcony door open the whole time to air it out. We never shut it not even at night. We even refused room service because we were afraid they would close the door again. The pool facility with the hot tub.... looked like it needed cleaned. The hotel staff for the most part was excellent with the exception of the girl who checked me in. continental breakfast was decent. Restaurants were within walking distance. The reality was I picked the hotel for the balcony overlooking the river and bike trail and that was nice. I paid a higher price for that room and the fact is for 30 more a night I could have stayed at a much nicer hotel that would have made sure I got the room that I requested. Free transportation to the airport was very nice. Drapes, carpet and bedding do not match so updating is needed and would get rid of the old smoke smell.

The iron didn't work. Great help!

Posted Sep 4, 2014
Pros: Comfort, from the breakfast to the beds!
Cons: Nothing I can think of!
Iron didn't work and we were going to a wedding in one hour. I went to the front desk and heard her call for a new iron to my room. Nothing happened. It got late. The tall guy with dark hair and beard? He is amazing and would be a plus to any motel/hotel that can get him. He called the same lady and the iron was at my door in seconds! The whole place is classy and very nicely ran.

Decent hotel

Choice cheap hotel when visiting Boise. Usually on 2nd floor, but had 1st floor this time. Lots of hobos and spiderwebs. Sadly not impressed this stay.
