Fantastic Staff

Posted Sep 16, 2014
Pros: Staff went above and beyond
Cons: Upgrades to carpet/paint would improve the initial perception of the building
Location: Idaho Center Idaho Horse Park BSU events
Picked this motel due to low cost and convenience to a convention. This motel is older but the staff obviously take pride in maintaining what is there. Rooms were clean. Had a heating problem which the staff immediately addressed and upgraded us to another room without any problem. She even came down and carried out bags for us. The next shift's staff were also exceptionally friendly and helpful. The excellent customer service far outweighed the age related minor issues to the building itself.

Hotel hell needs to be called

Posted Aug 26, 2014
First we get there to check in and the front desk clerk was very nice that was fast and easy.. But then I get a room key and yes it was truly a key umm I thought this was the 2000's any way get in the room and it smelled horrible must and mold so we had to go and get a room freshener to help with the smell I thought the TV was a little small for the room beds were OK as far as comphy ( have had worse) ... Toilet did not flush well.. The room just looked outdated. So in summery the hotel not so good the staff super nice people and very helpful...

Old hotel

Posted Aug 2, 2014
The hotel still uses a key instead of key card. The wood for the deadbolt was broken on the door frame and not repaired properly, so the deadbolt did not work. The TV was old and the screen was all static. I had to move the cords to get a better picture. The sink did not drain properly and filled up fast. One of the bed covers had a stain, and the under blankets had small tears in it.

Nice, close to Denny's, fuel, convenience store

Lots of linnen, good water pressure, discounts at neighboring, Denny's, accommodating staff, pretty descent for the price.

Beware - not ADA sensitive.

Posted Jun 29, 2014
Husband walks with a four-pronged cane. Clerk booked us into a "ground level" room which we assumed meant no steps. When we got there we were confronted with steps to the entrance (no ramp) and two half flights down to the basement level. We mentioned this situation when we checked out and they were surprised. They put ADA guests on a true ground level with an easy entrance. There is no elevator. The back entrance is unsafe. Apparently the tip of the key will open the lock but guest key will not go fully incthe lock. This hotel is a dump. Stay at the Shilo Suites hotel in Nampa instead. Once burned twice wise.
