Very old run-down hotel.

This hotel needs an update! Long dark hallways, dirty windows and run down appearance were disappointing but staff was nice.

What a dump!

Posted Apr 19, 2015
Cons: Tear the building down and start over.
The room smelled terrible. The beds were old and shorter than my knee. The carpet was filthy. The bathroom seemed clean though. The front desk employee was very kind and even tried to offer me a different room and Febreeze. She was understanding when I found another room at another hotel and gave a refund without question.

At least it was cheap.

I wouldn't have stayed here if the wife was along. For myself and two boys, it was bearable as a place to sleep for a few hours. Neither the bathroom fan nor the hvac unit worked, making it hard to get the pet smells out of the room. Both ladies I dealt with at the front desk were friendly.

Basic Hotel

Posted Mar 23, 2015
Pros: Location and price
Cons: Lots... update the carpet, wood paneling, get newer beds, pick up the cigarette butts near the entry doors.
Location: The Denny's Lounge
Basic hotel that has not been updated in the past 30 years... lots of wood paneling. This is a time warp back to the 70s. Clean but it makes you wonder. Decent rates for that 1 night stay. Did see a pit bull running around that was staying in one of the pet friendly rooms. Staff was nice.

Crappy hotel net to the freeway

Posted Mar 17, 2015
Pros: Nothing!!!
Cons: Everything!
It was just a place to hang my hat for a couple of nights… But I didn't feel comfortable in doing so…! That said I always bring something else to sleep on just in case… And used it

Alright hotel, close to interstate

Posted Mar 16, 2015
Hotel was clean, corners of tub in room dirty, lady behind counter had no clue what was going on blamed lack of communication amongst staff, right next to lounge that had some very loud customers, my door kept getting knocked on when I would go look no one would there, very stuffy in room and ac didn't seem to work well.

Was an okay last minute place to stay. Definitely not the worst place, also not the best.

Dirty from top to bottom

Posted Mar 9, 2015
Pros: It did have a good location.
Cons: Remodel from top to bottom
Location: Denny next door.
I was passing through on a thursday night that happen to be the State of Idaho high school backetball playoff weekend. I tried a couple of other hotels and found Shilo to be one of the only one with rooms available. Upon checking in I was greeted with a friendly staff member who was on the phone with a anoying customer and she was being very nice considering he sounded like a real pain. Once she was off the phone she checked me in very quickly and was very nice. I then went to my room and upon entering was floored by the almost unsanitary carpet. There were stains covering almost every square foot of it, and it smelled like dirty socks. I then pulled back the bed and discovered hair on the pillows and a stain on one of the bed sheets. Thankfully there were two beds and the other one didnt have any stains or hair. I thought about going down and complaining but realized it probally wouldn't do much good since rooms in the area were scarce. This hotel needs some major remodeling done before I would ever stay there again.
