Didn't have the necessities.

Posted Jul 28, 2015
There was no fitted sheet on the bed and when called to ask for sheets and pillows, we were informed there were none available.

Mattress was terrible. Also seemed much smaller than a normal queen mattress.

Thank you for taking the time to post your concerns about your stay. I can assure you that the mattress was a standard queen size mattress. I would have been happy to find you a more accommodating room had I been aware of the problem. Sincerely, J. Stites – General Manager

Condition of room marginal

Posted Jul 24, 2015
Arrived to Motel 6, style accommodations but paying $75 a night I suppose I should expect that. The sink worked but porcelain in despair. I felt that when I got up from the toilet it was going to come off the foundation. Left the hotel for half a day at 1 pm and came back at 8 with our room not clean. Then when checking the room to make sure there were no clothes under the coverlet, a dead bug under the quilt. Gross gross gross because we slept with that. There aren't even fitted sheets on the beds. The breakfast was cold and unappetizing. Put a call in to the manager to get a resolution and did not receive a call back yet and also told that no compensation can be made because it was a prepaid room online. But they'd give me a room comp the next time through..don't think I'd ever want to stay there again!

Great and fast food just out the Door.

Great stay, but a bit hard to get to for the road construction. In the same parking lot as a TA. You can walk to both Subway and Taco Bell in the TA station.

Thank you for your kind words regarding your stay. We anticipate the interstate construction to be completed by the end of the year. We appreciate you choosing to stay with Shilo even with the road construction. Sincerely, J. Stites – General Manager

Watch out.

Posted Jul 20, 2015
Pros: The bed was firm and did not feel old.
Cons: Drop the $50 deposit scam.
I paid for the room through Expedia. I get to the counter to check in and the young lady says I need to give her a credit card for a $50 deposit... I show her my receipt from Expedia and say "I already paid for the room". 4 times we go through this routine and she continues to insist that I will not get the room without a $50 deposit. Tired I give her the credit card... What a rip off...

Thank you for taking the time to review our hotel. We apologize for the inconvenience during your check-in process. However, the deposit we ask for is not money we keep. It is returned to you after your stay. We do require a security deposit for our rooms as that is the standard in the majority of hotels. We do make every attempt to make the check-in process as quick and easy on our guests as we can. Sincerely, J. Stites – General Manager

never again

Posted Jul 20, 2015
Pros: nothing
Cons: everything
Location: Drive down Broadway to the University area. Some nice people, bars, and food.
I hate to be negative but this place is old, dirty, and was a total rip-off for the amount I paid. I have come to the conclusion that Boise hotel rates are high and the hotels are terrible. I drive through once or twice per year and FROM NOW ON, I WILL west or east of Boise.

Check in was a breeze. Tazmen was wonderful at the front desk. Clean hotel. A bit dated but comfortable and spacious.

Nice rooms

Posted Jul 6, 2015
Nice hotel, room was comfortable and staff was friendly. Nice continental breakfast. Didn't have time to swim but pool and sauna looked nice. Our room was clean bed was comfortable. Not much of a view out the window and looked like there was shady activity going on at the truck stop next door.

My Monthly Stay

Posted Jul 4, 2015
Pros: The convenience of being close to the airport- 5-10 minutes away.
Cons: The staff at the hotel desk never smiled. I even tried to joke around. Nothing would work.
Location: Business Trip- No time for sightseeing. Close to airport, gas, store and a good restaurant for home style cooking.
I travel to Boise once a month for business and always stay at the Shilo Inn. It has great truckers restaurant across the way, a gas station, and a conveniece store.

good room setup

Posted Jun 22, 2015
Pros: Rooms
Cons: cleaner hot tub, lock that will work in pool area
I liked the room with a separate living room. That meant 2 TV's, nice table to eat at, couch, and another sink/counter area. Went to use the pool/hot tub in the am and went out to the heated pool and couldn't get back in . My key wouldn't work, so I had to walk out into the parking lot and around to the front desk to get back to my room.
