Pleasant, clean, friendly and close to everything!

Posted Apr 7, 2014
Pros: Great location, great staff, beautifully maintained!
Cons: Lobby is a bit dark.
Location: Right by 8th street - lots of shops and great new restaurants!
Would definitely recommend the Grove and would stay there again should I return to Boise! Staff is kind and very, very accommodating, the hotel is central to everything (right in the midst of the vibrant, new downtown area and next to the Basque area too), rooms are large, quite clean/well maintained and nicely furnished. Hotel is very quiet, too. While not among the new breed of super-chic, ultra luxury hotels (style is more traditional), it does have a great, full-sized gym and cozy, warmly-lit lobby/fireplace.

Nice hotel in center of Boise

Posted Mar 16, 2014
Pros: I liked where it was located. It was very quiet and had good beds.
Cons: They could improve their house keeping and the presence of their valets.
Location: Near the Capitol building. Attached to an arena which is home to the Boise Stampede and Idaho Steelheads. Good shopping and cafes.
It was a very nice hotel and we had a beautiful view of the city and the mountains behind it. Truly fantastic. The restaurant was nice; we only had breakfast there in the mornings and the staff was extremely friendly. The concierge who was valet parking our car was not always at his/her post and we had to wait on numerous occasions to ask them to bring us our car. We were paying a nice little sum for this service so we expected better. We also had spotty housekeeping; never could get a second coffee mug, after the first day when they weren't replaced with clean ones. We were there six nights and we had one mug for 5 of them. It's no big deal but if I'm going to write about the place I'm going to be honest with the little things because that's just what I notice. The arena for the ice hockey team and the Boise Stampedes is attached to the hotel so lots going on when their seasons are going. This hotel is very central in the beautiful heart of Boise. I would stay there again.

have stayed before, and HAD been first choice

Posted Feb 22, 2014
no longer will Grove Boise be first choice. Loud at 3 am and 5 am, unable to accomodate my extended need for another night, and 3 phone calls to get somebody to call me back on a lost item in the hotel. Finally, the carpets and insides are tired. Rotating door at front taped and broken. 2 pc's in business office didnt work. I fixed one, by changing over a mouse myself. Again, hope you guys can bounce back, as you have it all if you take care of your asset. Blair

Best Downtown Hotel

Posted Oct 7, 2013
Pros: The health club was very nice for a hotel.
Location: Many dining options in all price ranges. Decent shopping options. Very easy downtown to get around in on foot and as a female I felt safe.
The location was great for business travelers or vacationers. Very clean, comfortable, and good health club facility. If you don't want to leave the hotel the dining is good and fairly priced.

Great hotel for downtown Boise. You can walk.

Posted Oct 2, 2013
Pros: Comfortable beds, fast elevator. It was very clean and comfortable.
Cons: Plug in receptacles behing each night table. We use CPAP machines and they were very difficult to plug in.
Location: Great location. You can walk to the park, restaurants, university, etc.
W liked the Grove because you can walk to everything. We were there for a Bronco football game and it was very convenient. I would stay there again, especially at the price.
