“worst hotel I have ever stayed in”
This is not a "Quality Hotel" as the name suggests. We were greeted by threadbare carpets in the corridors and a musty odour reminiscent of an old peoples home, and a room the temperature of the siberian salt mines.Even in a three star hotel it is totally unacceptable to leave a half eaten pizza on a tray outside a room for almost 24 hours before being removed. On the morning after arrival our room was "serviced" as in the bed was tidied but no attempt was made to clean the room or vacuum the dead moths from the carpet. On our way to breakfast we reported the extractor in the bathroom was not working, this had still not been rectified when we checked out.Glass light fittings in the dining room were 1/2 inch deep in dead insects, with a large spiders web hanging from a wall light. Attention to guests by the staff was abysmal,as waiting to be seated for dinner we were walked passed and ignored at least 3 times, when finally managing to attract the attention of a staff member we were told the dining room was very busy and a table would be made available as soon as possible, after a 3/4 of an hour wait and having watching several people leave the hotel we approached a member of staff again to be told as soon as they have time they will sort a table for us even though there was at least 10 tables empty and waiting to be cleared. At this point we walked out and went to a restaurant across the road.
