Elegant hotel in centre of BolognaPosted Oct 27, 2014
Pros: Luxurious - lovely furniture and fabrics. Nice staff. Good breakfast. Great position - two minutes walk from the Piazza Maggiore. Elegant restaurant.
Cons: Rooms at the front of the hotel a bit noisy at night - traffic on cobbles is loud!
Location: Right in the centre of Bologna. Near the Piazza Maggiore, museums, churches, restaurants, the two towers.Walking distance to the station.
Enjoyed a comfortable stay in this hotel with helpful and friendly staff. Walked to all the main sights. Got a no 20 bus outside the hotel to the porticata. Walked 15 minutes to station for trains to a wide selection of destinations. (Ravenna was great). Had one meal in the hotel - expensive but a treat. Lots of restaurants nearby - the Caminetto d'Oro was the best.

The perfect location.Posted Aug 13, 2014
Pros: A most beautiful hotel. Elegance, style and grace radiate from every element of The Grand Hotel Majestic.
Cons: Please do not change a thing, this hotel is perfection.
Location: Central location in the Old town for sightseeing, and a short walk to all the shops, restaurants and bars.
A wonderful experience from beginning to end. All of the Staff in this hotel must have been hand picked. Thank you all for making our stay so delightful.

One of the Leading Hotels in the World - merited !Posted Jul 5, 2014
Driving to it is a nightmare. Italians are mad drivers anyway, and the street is blocked off. To make it worse, the front entrance is just an obscure doorway in a collonated arcade of shops. But once you get there, it doesn't disappoint - except for the pretentious Restaurant Menu.

Great luxury hotel in best locationPosted May 21, 2014
Pros: Location, cleanliness and welcoming staff
Cons: Pay more attention to client's special requests ( room with a view)
Location: Great, in the very centre of historic Bologna
Hotel staff is very welcoming and efficient. The property is immaculately clean everywhere and the decor is sumptuous....however, in spite of having requested a room with a nice view, we were given a very small (although very beautiful) room that was very dark and with no view at all. Location could not be better...breakfast was outstanding and valet parking ( pricey set 39 euros per night) but very convenient.

Good location in the cityPosted May 6, 2014
Cons: Upgraded, painted & new fixtures in bathroom.
Hotel becoming average as not updated in years. Rooms small, bathrooms tinny. It is still OK, but may go elsewhere my next stay.

Top class accommodation and service.Posted Apr 29, 2014 on Hotels.com
The hotel is superbly located right in the old city centre, in close proximity to all the main historic sites in Bologna. It is a beautiful, ornate property - conventional in decor but superbly appointed generally, and our large room in particular. The staff were extremely professional and very friendly and accommodating. And the food was excellent too. Would stay here again, without hesitation.
