There was no bar/lounge or laundry as described. The bed was very hard and uncomfortable.

We liked the friendly staff and the continental breakfast. We also liked the high ceilings in the rooms. The only negative was having to carry our heavy bags upstairs, but we would definitely stay at Hotel Accademia again!

30 ish room hotel in the academic zone within easy walk of key parts of the historic city, good bars and restaurants. Extremly helpful staff with excellent English. Welcoming environment. Rooms little basic, but clean and have everything you need for a comfortable stay. Would stay there again. No negatives for me

The hotel was very central and close to everything else in the city. The staff was very nice and accommodating. It is nice to stay in for a night or two. It has a modern design but the building is historic, therefore there is no elevator.

Clean, affordable, basic
I have stayed many times. It is very clean and well run and affordable. The area is noisy, but the windows are pretty soundproof. Bathrooms have only a shower, no tub. Breakfast is good, but could be better.

Very nice hotel in the centre of Bologna
The hotel was very easy to find in the heart of the University district and close to the centre. The staff were very helpful and pleasant. The breakfast was perfectly adequate with a good choice.

Great breakfast, very friendly staff. Clean room. The internet wifi was spotty the first day, but I complained about it and it got fixed the next day; very decent speed after that. The area is not the prettiest, but it’s a short walk to the hostoric center and University of Bologna. There are a bunch of nice trattorias close by. My only complaint was the AC system: it left a somewhat damp odor in the room so I just left the windows open and turned it on during the night. It wasn’t a big deal though. Even though the street noise was a bit loud, the room was very well insulated from it: after shutting the windows, it was very quiet. Also, the shutters allow complete darkness in the room which was great.

Very clean hotel. Let down at breakfast by insufficient tables and staff. Coffee was good but each cup was individually made and resulted in long delays during busy periods.

The hotel wasn’t a good value for the price. The pictures didn’t properly set the experience and I expected it to be much better. The bathroom accommodations were sparse we had to go buy shampoo and conditioner. It was near the university so it was very loud and closing the windows made the room hot.

Very central and great walking distance of the university and main museums. The room was basic but definitely worth the money. Staff were a little abrupt and I had to move rooms unexpectedly which made me late for the conference I was speaking at. Although I was thanked for complying, this was a considerable inconvenience and there was no concession made for this.

We enjoyed the central location, though were disturbed on both nights by rather loud conversations being held in the street outside. The bathroom was a little cramped. Interesting artwork on the walls.

Great stay in Bologna
Excellent staff, extremely friendly and hospitable. We had an issue with the AC leaking but they were extremely helpful and prompt and compensated us for the inconvenience. All in all, a very pleasant stay and experience. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a central spot in the middle of all the action

Dated hotel in a not so good neighborhood
This hotel when you walk in seems updated and nice. There is no elevators and the hall ways smell. We got to our room and it was dated and old and our bathroom smelled like someone died in it. We complained and they said there was nothing they could do since their hotel was full. They sprayed perfume and called it a day. It was so bad we had to go out and buy candles just to use it. The town was extremely loud all night and it seems it wasn't a safe neighborhood. Would not return.

Tight car park
A very good hotel for this price point. Just a small walk into the city centre but watch out you don't get lost amongst the narrow surrounding streets. Rooms a bit dated, but dining room looks fabulous and a good breakfast to start the day. Car park is very tight and costs 15 euro extra per night.

Very nice hotel with excellent service and an amazing breakfast the next morning. We really liked the location. Everything in Bologna seems walkable, and this was no exception. Very quiet as well.

I definitely recommend this Hotel.
We really enjoyed this Hotel. The staff were excellent. The European buffet breakfast was also very good, as was the coffee ! The bathrooms had been recently refurbished and the Hotel's location was within walking distance of the main city centre, amenities and transport connections. It was comfortable and convenient, with small supermarkets and eateries very close by.

Hotel Accademia, Bologna.
The shower was tiny ('not big enough to swing the proverbial cat') and the double bed was actually two single mattresses placed together with the springs of one of them having gone so if I had slept on this side I would have fallen onto the floor! Otherwise, everything was good with a very central location in the old city of Bologna.
