Pros: helpful staff, pleasant public areas of hotel
Cons: very bad smell, persistent problem with the drains I would guess, just about bearable in the room but very strong outside it near lift etc
Location: shops, restaurants and bars nearby
fairly good location, well signposted and with own parking (extra charge) useful as we came by car. About 25 mins walk to Bologna centre but good restaurants and bars nearby.

Great facilities if you want to be pamperedPosted Nov 20, 2013
The rooms were lovely decorated however were a bit over crowded for size of the room. Bed not all that comfortable. We only stayed 2 nights as stop over through to Venice and did not make use of the spa facilities. Close to train station.

Handy for the stationPosted Oct 1, 2013
Pros: I like the location, the staff, the facilities and the quirky décor - the wrought iron has to be seen to be believed and the dining room is a riot.
Cons: I really don't think so.
Location: As I said handy for the airport bus stop and the railway station and there is a nice tratoria slap bang next door although I prefer to go in to town.
It is ideal if you fly in as the airport bus stops at Bologna station and the hotel is a cheap taxi ride away if it is raining and a ten minute stroll at most of the weather is fine. I have stayed there several times now and I would go back should I return to Bologna. The nice thing is I am registered as a user which helps when you turn up and say you have a reservation. The breakfast is sumptuous. Everything you could possibly want.

Superb location to explore Bologna and beyondPosted Sep 12, 2013
Pros: Location and staff.
Cons: Many mornings plane croissants were not refilled in the bowels. The excellent waitress (young girl) seemed to be doing most of the work .
Location: I recommend the small trattoria next door for an excellent meal at night .
Hotel is only 5 minute walk from the train station, which is a drop-off point for the bus from the airport.Being close to the railway station makes it ideal to explore nearby cities : Parma,Modena , Ferrara etc It takes a mere 15 minutes to walk to the centre of the city. My room overlooked the small courtyard and was quite at night .The room was clean, darkly decorated (idiosyncratic decor through the whole hotel), had coffee making facilities, a safe in the wardrobe and a bathroom with a shower. Breakfast had a good choice , although maybe too much sweet material for my taste.

Very good valuePosted Sep 8, 2013
Pros: They paid attention to details.
Cons: Perhaps a list of nearby restaurants (we found a few, anyhow).
Location: It was convenient to the train station, for day trips. It was also right off the main avenue (Matteotti becomes Independenzia).
An excellent budget hotel. Nicely done and clean room, very friendly staff, pretty breakfast room with a hearty buffet. The location was pretty good, 10 minutes to the train station, about 20 minutes' walk to the center of town.

Amazing Customer ServicePosted Sep 3, 2013 on Hotels.com
We stayed here because of the location close to the train station and were pleasantly surprised to find it very nearby some wonderful restaurants, outside the busyness of Bologna central. The staff were so very helpful providing us such specific directions (what bus, connecting bus, and verifying closing times of locations) even without us asking. Wonderful experience. The only downside to our stay was there was a peculiar smell in and around our room - including the hallway. We did not mention it because it seemed to be somehow penetrating from outside. Also there is a pretty big construction project happening and it was right outside our room. No bother to us as we wake early for touring, but I could see how it might be a little disruptive to a late riser. Overall a good stay though!

Close to train, good local flavorPosted Aug 23, 2013
Pros: Price, location, breakfast
Cons: I would have like a clock in my room. I usually use my phone, but it did not work in Europe.
Location: It is within walking distance of the historical city center, parks and shopping.
The staff was very helpful. I was there alone and had not traveled abroad for over 10 years. They were patient and service oriented. My single room was quite small, but all I needed. It was furnished nicely and had a great air conditioner. Breakfast was nice, they served cereal, fruit, pastries, cheese and meats, eggs, sausage and bacon. Late night, there was even a Pizzaria on the corner that stayed open late. I understand there is a great Italian restaurant next door, but they were closed for summer holidays when I was there.

Charming hotel for a couplePosted Aug 20, 2013
Pros: My favourite was the internet room - very interesting decor.
Location: Location is right outside the old city centre and it takes less than 15 minutes to walk to Piazza Maggiore. Conveniently close to the station as well.
We stayed for a long weekend, and it was a very nice place. Our room was small but charming and clean. The hotel had a nice atmosphere as well. Breakfast was also fine. The staff spoke English and they were always helpful.
