Great location

Posted Jun 28, 2015
Great location and very easy to find. Its directly opposite the train station and the airport bus drops you off right outside. Was walk in to the centre of Bologna. As an added bonus the hotel has beautiful gardens, very nice and relaxing after a full day sightseeing and shopping!

Central Hotel

Posted Jun 18, 2015
Pros: Location, wifi
Cons: Bathrooms
Location: Opposite train station 10 minute walk to centre district
Central hotel opposite train station and airport bus stop. In its day this hotel was probably a very nice hotel. However the rooms are very dated now, some bathrooms have been partly refurbished. I did find the rooms very clean, although there was a pair of underpants under the bed on arrival! The wifi in the rooms is good and a good speed. Breakfast is good if included in the room rate, but €12 stand alone price is way too much. There is no restaurant in the hotel (only breakfast room) Overall I would go back and stay again, but if you are expecting luxury look elsewhere.

Easy to find, park the car and a short walk into the centre. I am more than happy with the service we received during our stay.

Quiet Oasis - Right Across from the Train Station

Posted Jun 13, 2015
Pros: Location and comfort
Location: As you come out of the hotel, turn right, and right again on Via dell'Independenzia. Take it all the way down. Great food, drink, shops along the way.
Mercure Bologna is the choice for travelers who are journeying about by train. Very comfortable and convenient - you literally walk across the street to the station. In spite of the central location, the hotel itself was quiet. Ask for a room overlooking the garden. We had such a comfortable visit the first time, as we headed from Milan to bologna to Florence and then Rome, that we booked the hotel again on our way back north. The second time around, we ended up with a lovely suite with a balcony overlooking the garden, and overflowing with honeysuckle. What a heavenly scent! Tip for breakfast: turn right out of the hotel - a few doors down, there's a terrific pastry and coffee shop. My husband and I took our pastry and espressos "takeway" (i.e., to go), and enjoyed them in the cool and calm of the lovely hotel garden. Just before yu hit that pastry shop, there's another store which has sandwiches you can grab for the train. Seriously, the location and comfort of the hotel can't be beat! In addition, the staff was extremely pleasant - very, very courteous. One pushy couple tried to cut the line and interrupt my check-in, but there were told (firmly, politely), to wait their turn. I appreciated the fact that the staff took the time to make sure the details were correct (there was a pricing issue, which was resolved right away).

1A Hotel für Bologna & Ausflüge mit der Bahn

Posted May 19, 2015
Dauer: 5 Minuten! Wir haben das Hotel bereits weiterempfohlen.

Great hotel near historical downtown

Posted May 5, 2015
Pros: location, design. Staff is helpful but speaks Italian only.
Cons: room lights are not bright enough to read and loud when you turn them on/off
Location: Food is awesome everywhere (in particular via Zamboni & via Belle Arti) at reasonable prices.
Discovered a genuine Italian city full of student corners, history and modern urban life.

Hôtel centra bon rapport qualité /prix

Posted Mar 31, 2015 on Hotels
