“Quiet, comfortable room in great Bologna location”

The staff went well beyond what we expected in helping us to get a very early morning taxi. They called the company for us, and rechecked later to assure the arrival of the taxi at 4:00AM. Not only was the taxi on time, but it was a 15 minutes early! I am sure that the hotel staff called a company that was known by them for its reliability. Despite the fact that we were but 1 block off the main street in Bologna, our room was quiet from both street noise and noise from other hotel guests. Our bed was very comfortable and our shower offered plenty of hot water. We would definitely stay at the Due Torre on our next visit to Bologna.

“Small but with a big heart”

This is your typical European hotel in most ways but the friendly and helpful staff make it so much more. The room was small (quad room)and no lifts (be prepared to carry your bags) but the shower and bathroom were great and the breakfast and coffee were one of the best we had. Great location 8 Euro taxi ride from the station in a narrow laneway with the best gelato shop on the corner. We walked to the station twice during our stay (It's only 15 minutes away). Just around the corner is the main shopping area of Bologna. What a beautiful city with so much history we will go back again and will stay at this neat little hotel.

“Hotel Due Torri - not quite up to scratch”

Pros - The location is decent (though finding it for the first time proved to be quite a challenge) and is within walking distance of many of the city's main attractions. - Within a five-minute walk to the Aerobus (which runs from and to the airport) stop on Ugo Bassi. - Close to shopping areas and a number of convenience stores. Cons - It should be noted that this is no longer a hotel but a service apartment. This means that some of the amenities advertised (e.g. complimentary breakfast) are no longer available. We were not informed of this beforehand and were taken by surprise. - Despite its proximity to Ugo Bassi, it was a little difficult to locate restaurants serving authentic Italian cuisine in the evening (though there is a Chinese restaurant next door). Also, for first time travellers in Italy it should be noted that the restaurants do not begin serving dinner before 7.30pm. -The staff were rather unfriendly and other than at check-in, the reception desk was unattended the entire time we were there. - Although we were told that the building was recently refurbished, its condition was slightly disappointing (e.g. broken windows). - The apartments are located on the first and second floors of a building and the other floors house offices and private residences. Quite an interesting point to note, but certainly not what we were expecting.
