Location perfect for seeing around the town with close access to the main rail and bus stations.Very old style hotel and stuck in a time warp but very spacious. Because of its central location it is a very busy hotel but copes well. Mixture of corporate and holiday makers. Main complaint would be the huge breakfast room, long corridor style, very congested and extremely busy with too many people around the breakfast area. Like a school cafeteria. Disappointingly, the meats and cheeses etc were not covered , very unusual, especially after covid and all these people millng around . The Nescafe coffee machines delivered the worst coffee ever. Just powdered coffee, not even hot. Dinner in the restaurant at night was well cooked, hot, well served but very expensive for what you got. Also, no atmosphere as very few people seemed to use the restaurant
