“very nice”
3rd time we ahve stayed at the Plaza. Staff were very pleasent. Building does have some appearence issues that need to be addressed. Rooms was very clean and comforable.
“waaazam!!”
PRB is just great!!!
“we are looking foward to go back soooooooooon”
100% excellent, the people is very nice make you feel very confortable we really enjoy our stay and recomend the hotel ahhhhhh in the beach bar....they have the best jam and cheese sandwich... in typsy restaurant the best lobster menu....
“We will be back”
One of the few hotels actually on a sandy beach. Set up perfect for divers. Reef diving off the beach in several places on the resort. Convenient to everything. 12 acre resort, the largest resort but not the most plush or newest. Get an air conditioned room. We just returned (Sept. 9 and it is hot and humid, but not anywhere as bad as Cozumel/Cancun). We found the bars and restaurants were great, beautiful sunsets enjoyed on the beach. It never felt crowded. Spacious rooms. Can't imagine staying anywhere else.
“Good place for dive vacation”
We had stayed here before 9 years ago and were a little suprised at the external maintenance of the hotel. Both the buildings and grounds were not as well maintained as previous. However the room was in great shape, the facilites were more than adequate and the food was actually better than our last trip. The staff of the hotel, rental car, and dive shop were outstanding. Lobster night at Tipsy Seagull and Barbecue night were excellent. Breakfast was not included in our package and after the first morning we ate breakfast at "Sense" which is just across from the entrance to the hotel. It was cheaper and really good. We also ate dinner there one night (though that was not cheaper). Worth checking out.
“Best in Bonaire”
This hotel has spacious rooms at a reasonable price. Would consider it to be the best hotel on the island. A big plus to the Bonaire Plaza is that you can dive right off their beach to one of the best places to scuba dive in the Western Hemisphere. You grab a tank at the pool and just walk of the sandy beach and there you are! Finish up your afternoon at the "Coconut Crash" bar on the beach and watch the sun set into the West. Can't think of going anywhere else in Bonaire. While you are there you must try windsurfing on the other side of the island. The hotel staff can give you the location. It is the perfect place to learn to windsurf and a must for those with some skill.
“Great Snorkeling!”
We really enjoyed our stay. We had a standard suite that was very spacious and well designed, with a large patio overlooking the pool, the beach and sea beyond. A nice beach for sunning, but once in the water it gives way to rock and broken coral. Good snorkeling starts immediately. We saw barracuda, morays, spotted eagle ray and all the usual suspects right off the beach. Food choices are somewhat limited. Some rooms under construction, but noise not bad.
“Great location, decent hotel”
It's a decent enough hotel but the main attraction is that it has great snorkeling right off it's beach. Most of the coral is dead, as it is around most of Bonaire near the shore, but the fish are amazing. Our room was huge. The A/C would freeze you. Staff was adequate. No exhaust fan in the toilet closet. Room safe will not hold a laptop. No coffee maker in room but there is an electric water kettle. Tipsy Seagull is pricey but has good food. The Banana Tree is less expensive but has lousy food; not a good value. Hotel is very close to the airport but not a whole lot of planes come and go.
“Location is excellent with own beach, cozy beach front restaurant, but not for economy budgets.”
We enjoyed the walks from the hotel to the town with many interesting small restaurants and bars. Bonaire is a place which has not been "spoiled" by excessive tourism, and high rise chain hotels. The safety on the island is also unique since you can walk at any time of the night without any risk.
