Great place to stay

Posted Sep 16, 2014
Pros: Value for money, so much space, nice grounds, friendly staff, night security.
Cons: Could be noisy if you are in bottom apartment and those above are heavy footed but we only heard a few foot steps.
Location: Banner Elk is nearby with food available, Boone a little further with more. Try the Daniel Boone Inn for food, all in price but no credit cards.
Booked this resort to wind down on last two days of our holiday and not disappointed. Great value for money, these are more like apartments than rooms. We booked a single bedroom and got that plus on suite bathroom, sitting/dining/kitchen area plus balcony overlooking man made lake. Plenty of room and very well equipped.

Nicely surprised!

Posted Sep 8, 2014
Pros: having full size kitchen.
Cons: There were many remotes for TV/cable/internet connection and it would have been helpful to have some directions on which remote to use.
Location: Grandfather mountain and tubing
We just came back from a weekend at Banner Elk and stayed at Blue Ridge Village a Festiva Resort for 2 nights. We were nicely surprised by the grounds and so many activities offered on-site. Our only regret is that our stay was so short and we weren't able to take advantage of all the amenities offered. We will definitely be staying there again. Our 2-bedroom condo was very comfortable and nicely decorated.

Very nice

Posted Sep 1, 2014
Pros: The amenities were good, especially for kids. Good swimming pool, tennis courts, ping pong, putt putt golf.
Cons: The playground could use a little more equipment. The pond was pretty but could use a few more fish. Didn't have much luck but maybe it was me.
Location: Great location...close to skiing,Grandfather mountain, Blowing rock, Linneville water falls.
Very nice for our first visit! Everyone at the resort was very nice and helpful.

Nice mountain retreat

Posted Aug 27, 2014
We happened to find this resort the day before we traveled up to the area. We had a wedding to go to and just wanted somewhere the kids could enjoy and make a nice weekend getaway. Everything about the place was extremely nice. The room was amazing, it was almost like we were in our own lot cabin and not even in just a room the way it was set up. Great experience and will definitely go back.

Great location for outdoor fun.

Posted Jul 16, 2014
Cons: I did hear "foot traffic" noise from the unit above mine, although, I do not think that is fixable.
Location: Visit Grandfather Mountain, The Blowing Rock, the town Blowing Rock, Mast General Store, Linville Cavern and take a short hike to Elk River Waterfall.
This resort is actually a time share/club condo community, but you do not need to be a member of the club to stay here. The location is great for those that like the outdoors. There is plenty of site-seeing to do in Banner Elk and in towns nearby. The town Blowing Rock was a favorite. Also available in nearby mountain towns is plenty of hiking trails, rafting, zip lining, and more. The staff is very knowledgeable about local attractions and there is print information available. If you just want to sit and enjoy the fresh, mountain air, the resort is a great place to relax. There are plenty of quiet locations on the grounds, even though there might be kids and adults playing tennis, mini golf and basketball. Game equipment is provided, but you must bring your own fishing pole if you want to fish in the pond. My room was very clean, but housekeeping did miss cleaning out coffee grinds left in the coffee machine by previous guests. The bed was very comfortable. The kitchen does come with a tea kettle, pots, pans, utensils and plates for four. Disappointing was that there was no wi-fi in most units. The staff explained that they had just upgraded the service, but something went wrong and the service provider was working to fix the service. The 5 nights we were there, we did not see any cable service trucks. You can use wi-fi in the lobby, but that closes at 8 pm, so it is a bit inconvenient.

Best Family Vacation EVER

Posted Jul 7, 2014
Pros: Everything
Cons: Too much chemical in the pool. It would bleach anything with cotton including bleach towels.
Location: Secluded...yet close to lots of attractions.
Wonderful place to stay. Staff went out of their way to be of help. The activities on July 4th were above expectations. We were there with our 3 children and their families and had a great time. The only time we left was to watch fireworks and go to the grocery store. We are already planning our next stay at Blue Ridge!!!

Great place in the mountains

Pros: Clean spacious suite
This was our second time there. Again, awesome. The rooms again were spectacular. Best buck for you money! Since there was a kitchen...we didn't have to eat out every meal. Close & convenient to Lees McRae College. Would be great for longer stays too as they have many amenities.
