“Fun weekend for us”

My granddaughters and I enjoyed our stay very much. The room was very clean, well equipped and the food was delicious. The location was also good. My only suggestion would be that the pool needed some repairs ( painted) and to be heated. We also expected there to be towels and there were only the small sized ones at the time we were down there. I definitely would recommend the Hampton Inn and look forward to staying there again sometime.

“Terrific stay”

We were greeted by a very cheerful young lady who checked us in quickly. She gave us information about Christmas tree farms in the area and we chose a farm that turned out to be exactly the experience we desired. The indoor pool was heated and large enough to swim around. Breakfast was complimentary and the usual Hampton Inn fare that we enjoy.

“Good location, just needs a general cleaning.”

I prebooked a room several days before my weekday arrival for business. Personally I had a few glitches when I checked in. The first room I was provided when arrived- the door was ajar upon first entering, the toilet running continuously, the fridge door open and would not shut nor would the fridge even operate and the room was extremely dusty. I returned to the front desk and requested another room. I am delighted to say that the front desk staff immediately placed me into another room. This room was so much better! Only two obvious complaints of this room- the room was extremely dusty around the edges of the room and especially in the bottom of the closet. So much so that it was a good quarter inch of old dust. The window in my room was also extremely dirty. I wiped it with a white cloth from the bathroom and the white cloth turned black. In spite of the hotel needing a very thorough cleaning- everything else was OK. The staff was excellent. I highly recommend that the hotel management invest at least a once a quarter to give the hotel a great cleaning of every room and common hotel areas as the elevator. The elevator floor was grimey and heavy dirt layered around the perimeter of the tiled floor to the extent it was all too obvious it needed at least a good cleaning a few times a year. It's these simple touches that will prevent me from returning to this hotel - but overall not a bad hotel- just needs some much needed general maintenance.

Lack of control with heat/AC was a problem. Toilet would not flush properly. Tile in bathroom falling off, along with shower rod. Bed was good. Place was quiet.
