Wonderful rustic mountain inn.

Pros: We loved rocking in the rockers on the balcony and enjoying the views of Grandfather Mtn., while eating the warm , freshly made breakfast .
Cons: The mattresses could be more comfortable, however the linens were very, very comfy and upscale. This is a rustic mtn. inn...just what we wanted!
Location: This area is full of scenic surprises, from the Blue Ridge Pkwy, Blowing Rock, Linville Viaduct, Grandfather Mtn, quaint towns, dining, shopping.
The view of Grandfather Mtn. is spectacular. The food at the onsite restaurant is very good. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The owner and staff were very helpful and made us feel at home.

Horrible place to stay

Trees blocked any view from the lower level. A busy road was about 25 feet away with the grinding of gears disturbing your peace. The rooms were so dark you felt as if you were in a tomb.
