Suit Rooms have a lot of traffic noise. As they face a major road.

Wonderful Hotel Near Everything

Posted Jan 5, 2015
Pros: Amenities and proximity.
Cons: The shower didn't seem to be installed right and creaked when weight was placed in it.
Location: Appalachian Ski, Sugar Mountain, Beech Mountain, Grandfather Mountain, Downtown Boone, ASU
This hotel was a great find! It is pet friendly yet didn't smell that way. Extremely clean. Close to all the major draws of the area - Appalachian Ski is only 15 minutes away, Sugar Mountain is 25, Beech is 35, Grandfather Mountain is 25... We didn't spend much time in Boone but this hotel is 5 minutes from downtown and ASU. The staff was helpful and the continental breakfast was simple but enough.

Nice hotel in the mountains

Posted Dec 29, 2014
The hotel was in a convenient location to everything we needed. The staff was helpful and friendly. The breakfast was not fancy but it was all we needed to get our days started and the lady working that area was super nice. They also provided a newspaper which was nice. We swam in the pool and spa with the kids which was clean and nice. The room was immaculate but the temperature was hard to control. The beds were very comfy. The best thing was that our family dog was more than welcome. He is like one of the kids... Very pleased with our stay.

Was put on the road side of the hotel which created a little more noise than I would have liked. No rod in the closet for hanging your clothes. I did like the rustic look of the hotel which was more unique than the standard run of the mill hotel chain.

Pass on this hotel

Posted Dec 4, 2014
Pros: Nothing
Cons: See above
Location: Not close to places to eat, only one we tried
Trash left on floor Sticky "stuff" on table and TV cabinet Beds .... Like sleeping on rock hard sand Breakfast seemed like leftovers, attendant did not know what kind of rolls served Back of building really dark at night No grass for pets only mud plus no poop bags provided(we happen to have our own) We have stayed at other La Quintas but never at this one again !

Great Boone option, traveling with dogs.

Great option for Boone - on the outskirts and need to drive for restaurants. On a 6 week road trip with our dogs; used our stay to reorganize - this was great spot.

Nice

It was a nice, comfortable room for a fair price. Not quite the views I was hoping for in a mountain town but it was close to ASU and area attractions. Staff was friendly and efficient. Overall a good hotel.
