“Valle Cruces Charmer”

We were greeted by our gracious hosts Bernard and Tessa. They upgraded our room choice to the best room at the inn. It was wonderful. Breakfast was exceptional.

“Charming inn in a beautiful valley”

The inn is in a lovely, rural spot, with misty rolling hills to greet you in the morning. The innkeepers are really lovely, gave me a free upgrade, and even made a last-minute reservation at the wonderful "slow food" Mast Inn restaurant down the road (basically talking them in to finding room for one more lone traveler, not a small feat for such a small restaurant). I wish I lived closer; I'd be back more often. Beware the road construction on an already very windy and narrow Route 194, which bordered on off-roading at times. I suspect they'll be working on this road for a while, so, especially if you're travelling at night, find an alternate route (the innkeeper can help!).

“Beautiful Historic Home”

We had originally requested a cottage but were placed in the main house, I belive due to the cold weather. The house is beautiful and our room was very large with a large bathroom. The owners were very nice and the gourmet breakfasts were wonderful, served on china with silver place settings. It was a 20 minute drive to where we needed to be and the road was extremely winding but beautiful non the less.

“Fabulous!”

This is a perfect weekend/getaway retreat location. It is close to Sugar Mountain, Beech Mountain, and Appalachian Ski Mountain. Shopping in Blowing Rock is all that would want. The Storie Street Cafe in Blowing Rock serves a wonderful lunch (wasn't there for dinner). The Taylor House was very quaint, the breakfasts superb, the environment homey but with lots of freedom. Perfect! Fabulous! Worth the effort.

“Start to Finish - A+++++”

From the time we walked in the door to the time we left, we were absolutely thrilled with the service and the amenities. We will certainly recommend the Taylor House Inn to others and can't wait to return.
