Good for familiesPosted Nov 9, 2013
Hotel No 2 on our 24 day road trip to Florida via New England. Room was clean and tidy but the bathroom was quite small. Private balcony overlooking the lake and pool area. Gorgeous evening sunshine that warmed the room up nicely. Canoes and boats are free to use but we were only staying here one night so did not take advantage but would be great for families and children. Coffee maker and microwave in room, plenty of parking. Yes, it is out of town and probably would not have found it without the directions on the website (no gps). Not too far back into town though. Only seemed to be one restaurant open, town looked shut down. Only down side was breakfast: cakes, cakes and more cakes, and an apple, so really disappointing. Otherwise enjoyed our one night stay and would definitely recommend for a longer stay.

Very Nice Motel. Neat balconies look at the waterPosted Oct 7, 2013
Pros: Very Comfortable, clean, and beautiful setting. Continental breakfast great homemade breads and muffins.
Cons: Provide a map with some of the landmarks one will pass.
Location: Boothbay Harbor has lots of ship and shoe activities.
The motel is a little ways out of Boothbay Harbor. But after finding it the first time it was convenient.

Secluded place at the end of the road.Posted Sep 10, 2013
Pros: The lake, boat, view. Friendly (Romanian) staff.
Cons: Room furniture and lighting. Parking lot is challenging as NONE of it is flat. Access to the 2nd floor is TOUGH.
Location: Boat (kayak, rowboat)
HUGE room, but needed different furniture and lighting arrangements. Breakfast was OKay.Fridge, microwave & coffee in room. PLUS is delightful balcony w/nice furniture and lighting for nighttime. Wish I could have taken advantage of the lovely lake (a hike for senior citizens I was chauffering) and the free boating on the lake. A mile away from the town - if you are wanting to be close, this isn't the place.

Peaceful hotel with fantastic viewsPosted Aug 26, 2013
We loved the peace and quiet! Wonderful owners and staff. The hotel was older, but well-maintained and very clean. Homemade baked goods for breakfast were delicious!

Beachcove is a gem!Posted Aug 13, 2013
Pros: Owners, staff, customer service, location, beautiful setting, comfort and cleanliness.
Cons: I like strong coffee and prefer whole grain options for baked morning treats...that's about the only thing I would change.
Location: The location was perfect for us because it was walking distance to the yacht club where our kids were racing.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The customer service was outstanding. We were travelling with seven sailboat racers, their coach, and some parents. From the beginning of our stay we were treated well (we arrived to the smell of fresh-baked muffins!) Our coach's reservation was one night short of what we needed. The resort fixed that (even on a sold-out week) and managed to keep him in the same room. We slept well in the comfortable rooms and the kids enjoyed the pool. We had a terrific team barbecue using the hotel's outdoor grills and picnic tables. And the hotel itself was walking distance to the yacht club where the regatta was hosted. As if that were not all, my daughter left her baby blanket behind. When I called to tell the Beachcove we were missing it, they assured me they would take special care to look for it...and they did. They found it and happily mailed it back to us in Canada. That was so terrific.

Pros: Balcony view.
Cons: Parking is tight.
Location: Very close to shops in Boothbay Harbor. Maine Lobster Festival in Rockland. Maine State Prison store in Thomaston and Reny's in Brunswick.
Room was very clean and had a great balcony view. They were experiencing some internet connectivity issues but they were resolved.

Nice Hotel viewing the water. Free use of boats.Posted Jul 8, 2013
Pros: The pool was very well maintained. The grounds were immaculate.
Location: The town had many shops and restaurants. There were various tourist stops to go to. Excellant area.
Each room had its own porch separated from the next unit. The front desk was very helpful with our questions.

It's nice not to be in town!Posted Jul 2, 2013
Pros: As above...very clean, comfy bed, setting on a lake and pleasant and helpful inn keeper.
Cons: A shelf in the bathroom. I dislike putting my stuff on the floor.
Location: Lots of really good restaurants...loved Blue Moon for breakfast, better than Mama D's. We went to see the puffins which was great...amazing story.
Beach Cove Inn is about a mile from downtown Boothbay Harbor, quiet and peaceful. Room was comfortable, had coffee maker (did not use since there is free coffee and tea all day in check-in room), microwave and small refrig. On a lake with free use of boats and canoes (life vests provided). My husband rowed me around the lake as I sat like a queen and admired the beautiful surroundings. There are adirondack chairs to relax in or watch the sunset, a couple of grills (I am on vacation so I do not cook, but you may chose to), plenty of parking places. We really liked the place....not fancy, but clean and very affordable.
